Where is thermostat located at in the tank

Theirs 3, 2 of them is exterior they are little round copper anode things kinda twist in place underneath the square black adhesive wires go into, the one for the electrical is on the inside where the power voltage runs into water heater directly to the right, turn power off take cover off and remove wires. I will tell you a thermostat wrench wouldn’t work on mine it was to tight and old I ended up using a 3/4” drive ratchet and a deep weld socket DO NOT USE A IMPACT you will ruin the threads and make sure you order a new gasket mine didn’t come with one.
