40-POUND PULL PACKS PLENTY OF PUNCH.
I really like it. It’s a basic, honest recurve bow, without the extras that impede relearning the fundamentals. After several years (decades) since my freshman semester, I've taken up a renewed interest in archery. Fortunately, several people have graciously shared their knowledge of archery on YouTube, helping me to ease back into the skills needed to hit a target without injuring myself. Or others. The one-star-deduction is for all the nocks to remain on the string after the arrow is shot, which occurred five out of five times. A strategic drop of super glue fixed the problem from recurring on all but one. I’m still hunting for the one that independently went airborne.

Don't buy the kit
The bow itself is good quality for the price. Just buy that. The arrows that come in the "kit" are incompatible with the bow. You need feather fletching for this type of archery, not plastic vanes. The glove and arm guard are cheaply constructed.
