The Gospel of the Holy Twelve presents vegetarian versions of traditional teachings and events described in the canonical New Testament. The first collected volume was issued by The Order of At-One-Ment and United Templars Society. The explanatory preface referred to an ancient source manuscript "preserved in the Monasteries of Thibet". An irish clergyman claims to have discovered in a Tibetan Monastery the Original Gospel from which the present Four Gospels are derived. Review: In my opinion, this is the true "New Testament" - Remember in the accepted version of the Bible how Jesus blasts a fig tree? I always found that difficult to believe that he would do that. When I found this, on another website in its entirety, I was hooked. Especially when it showed Jesus blessing the fig tree for providing shade, food and a home for the birds. That sounds more like the Jesus I picture in my head. I could go on and on about my opinions of this book, however, so I won't. I feel I can read it more objectively than many "believers" because I was raised atheist. My mother, who was my spiritual influence as I grew up, never disrespected the person of Jesus. I was taught that he was a great teacher and wise man, but that was all. Some Christians, in fact most of them that follow the canonical Bible, would probably be greatly offended by this book (eg, the Christ is Jesu-Maria -- Jesus and Mary and I think they mean Magdalene, not Mom). I don't think there's a single mention of Paul/Saul of Tarsus and his alleged writings. When I decided, on a whim, to search for it on desertcart I was amazed that it was in print. Any way, take it from a Unitarian-Universalist atheist: it's a cool book and worth it. Review: The content is Great - Amazing book. I wish the type was bigger. Itโs really tiny font and hard to read. Great content though. Thank you!

A more enhanced portrayal of Jesus
This version of the journey of Jesus portrays Him with deep compassion for animals as well as humans. The scope of His vision is inclusive of creation beyond the human. The kindness and love He expresses is far more believable and preferred to that version found in the Bible. He also expresses abstinence from mind-altering drinks. I think many things were edited from the Bible version to make it more palatable to the norm of the day and also to make it totally align with Old Testament sentiment. Thus, to me, this version shines a light on a Jesus that had much broader reaches to His presentation. I welcome it.

Eye opening early gospel account.
Now this appears to be the Essence trained Jesus account and more inline with the eastern philosophy on non meat eating, non patriarchal or matriarchal view of the Godhead. Clearer explanation of the Trinity and insite into Jesus' humanity. I prefer it to the King James rewrite. Keep an open mind. Book quality is just okay. I found numerous print errors which should have been caught preproduction. Print itself could have been cleaner. Knocked off 1 star.

I love this book
I love this book, and it has changed my life for the better. It's making sense. What was left out as far as Commandments of Jesus, is now here for all to see. The Holy Twelve refers to his 12 commandments. Somehow they didn't make it into our bibles. When you read them you will see how many mirror the ones in our bible, but a few were cut short and I suspect it was for church agendas. His yoke is light and the path is narrow for those who choose to follow him. Excellent............keep it by my bedside. It's comforting too, and brings a soothing deep peace.

A great read, with a different narrative to the King James Version
An awesome read, with a different narrative to the King James Version of the bible. However it was disappointing that the book had several misprinted pages, where the words became random symbols and it was impossible to know what was being written

but what I do know is that it felt like it gave a more complete insight into Jesus as ...
Apart from a few minor spelling mishaps, this is a whole new perspective on who Jesus was. If it is the true doctrine as claimed or not, i do not know, nor is it my place to tell you, but what I do know is that it felt like it gave a more complete insight into Jesus as a person than the four canonical gospels in the bible. I recommend this book to everyone on a path to wisdom and truth, or anyone interested in pseudopigraphs or apocryphas. All i can say is that I had a lot of enjoyment in reading it.
