This mat is a good size and collects the litter well, but I find the cleaning (emptying) process makes a bit of a mess. Maybe it's the location of my litter boxes. Maybe it's my height. Maybe it's my level of dexterity. The mat is unwieldy for me to pick up and open and hold at the proper angle to dump litter. I end up making almost as much mess as if I had not placed a mat down at all. I had a cat poop incident and a barf incident. Both required scrubbing to clean the mat. The holes that are efficient for collecting litter are a challenge to clean easily and it takes awhile for the mat to dry. I had high hopes, but I quit using it after only a few weeks and went back to the flimsy rubber backed throw rugs that I can easily toss in the washer and dryer.

I was admittedly a little worried this mat wouldn't catch all the litter from their paws, I previous had one with all the little fibrous loops which was great at removing litter. However, one cat had started shoveling litter out of the box and onto the mat so I needed some way of putting the litter back in the box. I was also getting irritated by the last mat because while it caught litter well, it released it back onto my feet anytime I stepped on it.Turns this mat actually works great! It seems to get all the litter off their paws, and once you get the knack of pouring back in it's pretty easy. The first time was admittedly a bit of a struggle, but I have it down now. And because the litter falls under the honeycomb grating, it doesn't get stuck to your feet!My only issues is the same as others, the bottom portion of the mat is slightly smaller than the top, leaving you with honeycomb grating with no mat to catch the falling litter underneath. It's not really a big deal, it's only a little over an inch wide, but it seems like a weird design decision.

I refused to get a sand/clay liter because I absolutely hated the cats tracking sand throughout the house. I had a Tidy Cat pellet/pad system for years but hated the smell that wouldn't go away even after scrubbing it weekly in the shower. I used to have one of those textured litter mats but it would always trap the litter inbetween the little net design and felt unsanitary. This honeycomb 2 mat design makes it easy to catch any stray litter and its easy to dump the excess litter into the trash can when needed. It's also nice that you can stand on the mat itself and not get any cat litter on your feet. It might even work as a door mat for anyone that lives near the beach as it doesn't allow the sand to track on your feet.I purchased the Merry Pet Cat Washroom / Night Stand Pet House  Merry Pet Cat Washroom / Night Stand Pet House  as well as this mat and honestly cannot be any happier. No smell and no tracking in the home!

I purchased this Lepet XL cat litter mat for use with a new jumbo cat litter box I purchased here on Amazon. Cats always track litter out of the box, so something is needed to scrape it off of their feet, and the larger the better. This jumbo mat is a good size, as the cats get a few steps on it in any direction they take after leaving the litter box. The honeycomb pattern is a good texture for trapping the loose litter. The top porous layer separates from the bottom solid layer and there is an unsealed end that you can open up to pour the litter out, either into the litter box to recycle it or into the trash can. I found this feature clever and really useful. With the litter mat by my other litter box, I have to beat it repeatedly outside to get the litter out. My cat starting peeing on this litter mat instead of using the box. I had to get rid of it and purchase a different type mat. Now my cat is back to using the litter box. The only saving grace is that this mat did a good job of containing the pee and preventing it from soaking through to my hardwood floors. Luckily there was no damage to the floor.

Durable but doesn't hold the little like I had hoped. So far, there is not a single cat little mat that has helped tidy up the cat litter tracking. With this matter when you go to pour the little from the underside it comes back out if the top. Just have to be very careful.

This mat has absolutely cut down the amount of scattered litter by a major amount. It's pretty thick, so if you put any edge of your litter box on it, the box will be at a bit of an angle. The cats don't seem to care. I use this under a  PetSafe Simply Clean Self-Cleaning Cat Litter Box, Automatic, Works with Clumping Cat Litter  (which you should buy because it will change your life) and the slight angle doesn't affect operations.

it doesn’t attract my cats to wipe their paws the way they normally do on mats. the litter gets stuck in the holes. overall, i wouldn’t purchase again. i was excited when i found something that made transferring litter from mats to the trash or back to the litter box easier, but this just didn’t do it.would not buy again
