I purchased this item to help with my shoulder and neck pain. Now that we're working from home and I don't get up and walk as much as I used to, I find that pain develops as the day progresses. I was excited to wear this item and for the first few days it was working well. It helps keep your shoulders back forcing you to sit and stand a bit taller. It was fairly comfortable and relatively easy to put on. The main downside is that the straps slip if you moved too much allowing for your shoulders to move forward.I wore it for a couple days last week and put it this morning. After making breakfast, it loosened up a bit so I went to tighten it and the stitching holding the buckle to the shoulder strap ripped. The device is now useless.I like the concept of this product, but would not recommend based on quality of the product.

I had to return this, not because of it not working well, but because my husband waited too long to get one and is too bent over to wear it. I highly suggest for those reading this review. PLEASE TRY IT, scoliosis will get much worse if you just let it go.

This is my first and only back brace, I do not have anything to compare it to but it did work. The downside is that it is put on much better with someone helping you in the back to get the exact right adjustment. And there will be plenty of adjusting. Once it is on you do feel it. You will be upright with your shoulders back. It certainly gets frustrating after a while as you can not move as freely as you would like to. Great for sitting, standing, walking but wouldn't recomend for high activity. Once it is off you just have to remember your posture and you are good. Again, finding the right fit after adjusting and adjusting is key. Not too close to neck, sliding off shoulders, straps are flat, etc. Also, very very important...do the stretches it shows you every single day!!!

When I put the straps on, I could instantly feel my posture being corrected.There's just one aspect of this that makes wearing this UNBEARABLE:they used Velcro for the center strap on the back, anyone that has worn Velcro against skin knows how painful this can me. No matter how I adjusted the Velcro, it would still rub against my back, after a few hours, can turn it raw...I'm skinny, and I'd imagine this problem would be worse on a heavier person.I don't see how anyone could wear this uder a shirt. Wearing this over a shirt alleviates the issue, but defeats the purpose of this being "hidden."

Ok, so I slipped two disks when I was 21 years old and lifted in an odd posture. Since that time I have constant back pain. Yoga has dramatically helped but I’m a single mom (34 years old) with three jobs and that’s not always an option for me. I am so glad I got this brace. Not only that, I’m glad I got this specific one and not another similar product. Why? Because it came with some yoga exercises to do AND cool stretches. The instructions alone were so well-written. I’m not an instruction person but I was drawn to these.I wear it whenever I sit at a computer for prolonged periods (it has eliminated neck pain I was experiencing). I wear it when I’m doing yoga (it has completely changed the way I do yoga and I feel the difference). I wear it when I write Amazon reviews (yup, that’s right- I’m wearing it now). I share it, too. Two people I know have purchased one because they tried mine out. A small thing made a huge difference in my life. Thank you!

Many other reviews mentioned how fragile this item is. In my case, it broke on first use within 30 seconds! I pulled one of the straps to tighten (as instructed) and the strap holding the buckle disintegrated. Literally on the first pull. It's just as well as this thing is comically undersized for me, even the "XL" size (I'm 6'4" and 220lb).It's too bad this item is so poorly made. It is clear from the instruction book and posture guide (which is excellent) that this company really does care about improving posture. Bad posture leads to all kinds of problems. I'd pay more for higher quality materials and an XXL size. The product manager for Flexguard should take note.

Got this for my boyfriend who slouches all the time. Wearing it at first hurts your shoulders but you get used to it over time. He's worn it for a couple hours for 2 days now and I already see an improvement in his posture. It helps with upper back pain, but lower back pain might be more of a long term improvement.
