One of the most iconic if not "The" icon of Italian cuisine. The recipes are well written and the book is sprinkled with humorous bits that keep you going back for more. The "old timer" language make it even more amusing. I did not think of it as a bedtime read, but it turned out to be just that.I highly recommend it.

If you are a fan of Italian cooking, this is a must. This volume is what started the art of modern Italian cooking. Worth learning Italian to appreciate not only the information, but also the finesse of the author's language.

Written in its original Italian. My wife is both practicing Italian and learning cooking skills.

La cosa che amo è che non è il solito libro con dosi ricette ma contiene storie aneddoti e tutto in una lingua oramai quasi estinta ...io lo adoro ...anche se alcune ricette e ingredienti non li userò mai
