Not for the most aggressive chewers
I came across this toy when I was browsing around for an interactive activity for my exceptionally chew-happy dog. It looked perfect, durable and engaging. She was very into it the second I removed the puzzle ball from the package, even before any food was inserted, and I'd have called it a smash hit if she hadn't already begun chewing and eating away at one of the spiny nubs along the toy's body. It took her less than 20 minutes to run out of kibbles and start eating the toy.The kibble dispenser aspect of it did work. She first tossed the ball about to have the treats fall out on their own then resorted to rolling and chewing at it, and I think the toy would be great for less aggressive chewers. I was surprised she had chewed into it as fast as she did considering other reviews here from puppies and large dogs alike, but then again my dog's the labradoodle equivalent of a wood chipper. If your dog isn't as destructive I'd say give it a chance but if they are then give this toy a pass.

The ball is a SNACK.
Within 15 minutes my 8 month old Mini Dachshund puppy had about 8 of the nubs off it and the toy was ripped. It was used once. Low and behold I received another one of these balls for Christmas for my puppy and I thought I would try it with very little kibble in it. 10 minutes later 2 nubs are off and it is ripped AGAIN.She is not an aggressive chewer like my Boston Terrier is and she is pretty small. I don't think this toy should be sold as a "safe" toy. If the nubs are swallowed by the wrong dog it could cause a blockage. It should also last longer than one use.

Best toy EVER
This is quite possibly the BEST dog toy I have ever found. I gave it to my dog following knee surgery and she's enjoyed this way more than anything else. It keeps her busy for quite some time, way longer than anything else. I love seeing her play in a capacity that she can and feel extra good about the mental stimulation this toy provides. I could not recommend this any more!

Excellent.
Got this for Christmas for my dog. She absolutely loves it. She likes the way it bounces in a random direction when you throw it. I'd say she's a "power chewer" and she hasn't torn this up yet, so it's quite durable.

This Seller keeps his customers happy!
My dog tore this toy to pieces in 5 months minutes. After giving this toy a bad review the Seller stepped right up and made things right. I was very impressed! I wouldn't hesitate even one second on purchasing from him again. Obviously wants his customers happy.

Plastic to Hard
My 13-year-old Norwich Terrier likes puzzle balls, but she can't get the treats out of this. You have to squeeze it one way, and it's not easy to do. I had a friend's Golden Retriever (with a soft mouth) try it. She couldn't get the treat out either. We tried different size treats. If they were too small, the treats just fell out. Those that didn't (like Charlie Bear Treats) had to be removed by a human.

Good puzzle for treat delivery.
To entertain my high-strung and very smart Sheltie, we added this to our library of treat distribution toys. It took the dog about two days to figure it out. But we're still using it because he has to do quite a bit of work to get the treat out. So it keeps him occupied for a while. The small size seems perfect for an 18 pound dog.

Not good for a chewer
Not good for a chewer. If you've got a fetcher and a player, I'm sure it's great. But my dog - destructor - had the nubs chewed off in minutes.
