The intended use of these clamps is to secure a router in an inverted position under a router table that is 30" above a cement floor. In the clamped position, it would take only a slight push on the handle to release the clamp since the handle stops at center; no 'toggle' action. No confidence that the clamp might release from vibration and the router going wild while routing and crashing to the floor. Ruined router? Ruined work piece? Personal injury? I did file the handle stop to allow the handle to go further beyond center and securely lock (toggle) into place to be able to use these clamps with confidence. Did anyone test these things before offering them for sale?

These are super small - like you could put four of them in your hand and hide them - I was expecting something much larger. Perhaps didn't read description closely enough...Not worth returning. I would rate them on how well they work, but they are so small, I'm not sure what I could use them on.

Be very careful when buying theses, double check the measurements. I bought these not checking the dimensions. These are like toys compared to the ones I need. The pictures make them look full size. When using hold down clamps for safety, you want the biggest, strongest ones available.

This was exactly what I was looking for! Hard as hell to find the magic description to actually FIND them on Amazon, but when I did and ordered them, I'm very happy with the results. I provides a great deal of adjustment points.I'm using it to hold down a plate on top of a rack on top of my vehicle, and with all the stressing of using them in that way, they hold down and provide an excellent stability.

Received today, mounted to my carving table. After adjusting the clamps to fit the stock, set clamps and tested their collective hold. Stock did not move, so began carving.These are going to prove to be used a bunch!

Much much smaller than I had imagined. Be sure the check dimensions before purchasing.

I had limited space to mount the bracket and this one was perfect fit and has very strong holding power.
