what diameter are these?

I don't know the diameter but they are standard size corsage pins. These are NOT the smaller pins typically used for boutonnieres.

how easily bent are they? I find myself always sewing heavy fabrics, denim canvasses etc... is this a heavy duty pin good for piecing thick layers?

I use them when I baste my quilt in my long arm. No bending issues!!
