Saltwater Spinning Reel, 13+1BB Smooth Saltwater Fishing Reels, Carbon Drag

This reel is way better than expected for the price. I needed a red for my light action setup. I’ve already caught several fish and think the drag is exceptional, the reel is ultra smooth and the overall feel is top quality. I fish primarily in salt water and rinse the red after use. We’ll see how it holds up with proper maintenance.Also, I messaged the seller with a question and they responded immediately. They offered to replace the unit if I wasn’t happy with it. I’m happy with it and just had a general question which they answered. Even the customer support is better than expected.

Nice, smooth reel. Retrieve ratio is a little slow for lure fishing. It makes a great bait and wait reel.

Overall, a good reel better than expected Son caught a nice decent size flathead catfish with no problem. Also went saltwater fishing with it no problem does have some what of a light feel to it but what do you expect for the cost just don’t submerged it in the sand and you should be good overall for the price I would recommend to others good luck out there 👍🎯

This is a nice reel BUT the this reel is SMALL !!!It has a lot of description for all the saltwater protection and what it does and shows the build of the inside. That really looks goods but this reel when it shows up could fall in the ultralight category for fishing ! This is a small reel !!

Bought this for month long trip to the Florida keys for live baiting under balloon while bottom fishing and some light trolling for kings and Spanish mackerel. Hooked several sharks and barracuda and held up well. Fought one shark that I got up to my 18’6” boat twice (shark was easily half length of boat) for close to an hour chasing with boat. 35 lb braid finally popped but reel held up well. Purchased 5000 size. Smooth operation, comfortable ergonomics. Had rod on boat 20 out of 28 days and no worse for wear and salt exposure. I would usually take it out over the penn 5500 that I have had since 1989 as the large round handle was more comfortable.

Definitely nicer than I expected it to be. Comparing it to my $250 Shamano Stradic Reel it is pretty similar in quality honestly. I’ve already recommended it to two others a great reel to have in the arsenal.

Its really not bad for the money . Ive used it a few times out on the boat now. Its done well with the saltwater. I figured it would be toast after 1 time. Nope still smooth even the drag is smooth . Cast well
