Hoping for a tree full of planes one day
Get a Hallmark small plane ornament for my husband every year. They’re a bit spendy, but it’s the holidays. Beautifully detailed with a lot of small parts. Probably too fragile for a house with kids, or tree-loving cats.

Display piece?!?!
I ordered other pieces from the series and they came in the original box and packaging. This is the newest one and the packaging is not there and it was wrapped in tissue paper. Like it had already been opened and displayed. I could have just bought this one at my local Hallmark store…I didn’t pay full price to have a used piece.

Hallmark went cheap
Received my 2022 airplane ornament and Hallmark went from metal to plastic on their product and pretty much charging the same as the past purchases.

Works with Model Railroading
I 'reached into' my stash of old Owner's Handbooks for the Republic Sea-Bee to see how close to the actual dimensions this ornament was to the original airplane in HO scale. It was very close (being a bit smaller). Upon receiving the item, I placed it on the shore of my harbor scene. I will probably (and carefully) cut off the landing gear and reinstall it in its retracted position; as well as apply some registration numbers. This is a nice addition to the harbor scene and compliments the Hallmark Ercoupe that is flying over one of the towns [The Ercoupe is not as 'close to scale' as the Sea-Bee...but it works for me.]

Beautifully detailed model of a 50's special airplane.
The ornament is nicely detailed, and has captured the correct proportions of the Seabee airplane. The yellow and black colour make it easy to notice on the tree. Reminds me of the plane that the local pharmacist owned when I was a teenager.
