So my dear wife and I prefer different volume levels when watching television. Believe it or not, I like a lower level than she does, so we have quiet disagreements over the volume level as we lie in bed at night watching the tube. I knew there must be a way to resolve the problem after 53 years of marriage, so after careful research, I discovered what everyone else less than 50 years of age (or is it 60 years of age) already knows - you can hook a Bluetooth device up to the audio out on your video display! And you can even connect two independently controlled BT headsets at the same time! So, after trying another device that didn't work so well, I decided to give this one a go and voila! It works like a champ! Thank you for getting me out of the doghouse for fiddling with the volume! Now if you can figure out a way to watch two channels on the same screen at the same time.....

Does exactly as needed! I can now use my phone to send youtube music to my old Technics stereo. Only 4 stars because the optical audio cable didn't work. I had one on hand, working nicely.

I bought this several years ago to listen to tv. I have hearing aids and still have trouble hearing the tv without blasting the sound. I had blue tooth headphones so once I plugged this in behind the tv where my wife didn’t have to see the little cords everywhere I was all set. Very easy to set up and comes with about any kind of plug anyone would ever need. You can hook two Bluetooth devices to it at the same time. Because it’s so easy to set up and use I’ve even taken it on vacation. Highly recommend it.

Worked as advertised. I connected to the headphone jack on the front of my A/V receiver. I am able to roam thru out my home doing chores, preparing meals or watching tv all the time listening thru my bluetooth earbuds.Until it stops working. One day in February it stopped pairing so it lasted for7-8 months

It was easy to connect to my tv. I tried to pair with Apple IPods Pro. No luck. I bought a Bluetooth headphone, it would not pair with it either. I sent it back and got a refund.

Purchased for my mom who has a problem hearing the regular tv speakers so wanted to use a Bluetooth speaker that she could place closer to her. I had purchased others that connected to the tv with either the dual RCA cords and/or the single headphone cord, but was never able to connect them properly.....either they wouldn’t connect to the speaker at all, or the sound was off from the picture. I bought Bose headphones for my husband to watch TV and not be bothered by background noise. Our TV is anything but smart with limited connectivity ports on the back. We have/had a sound bar plugged into the one available optical port which appeared to be the only option to give us bluetooth connectivity to our TV. I bought this nifty little gadget to enable our sound bar and headphones to connect to the TV. It took some work and patience to get them both connected but finally made it happen and now it works pretty good....sometime some delay between the bluetooth and the tv but not bad. Just make sure when you are working on connecting it that anything else in the whole house that has bluetooth is shutoff.

Great product. This was a perfect solution to listening to my Smart TV's audio through my wireless headphones. This unit allows for both Transmitting and Receiving bluetooth. In my case, this was "Transmitting" audio to the unit and my headphones. I used the SPDIF option since my smart TV has an optical audio connection.Once the unit is paired (ie. solid blue light), if you still cant hear sound though the device (ie. wireless headphones in my case), ensure that your tv audio is set to PCM (not dolby digital), so you may need to toggle this setting under the TV audio settings. For my Samsung Smart TV, this was under Expert Settings>Digital Output Format = PCM. It worked like a charm! It's nice to sit back in the evening and change the audio to the headphones and watch netflix shows/movies. A happy customer!

Product works well. Was quite simple to setup but, make sure to change your HDMI audio settings (audio expert settings on Samsung smart TV) to PCM.
