This Schwinn rack is lightweight, all metal, and with many mounting options for most adult bicycles. I needed a small, but rigid rack to mount a motor controller box for an e-bike conversion I was doing on a 27.5" mountain bike. This rack worked perfectly with the simplest side mounting option using the supplied bolts. Other parts I didn't need included hardware for center mounting and no mounting points. With all the options offered I felt confident that it would fit in one way or another. The instructions were very clear and easy to follow. My only necessary modification was to drill 4 small holes in the shelf plate to attach the controller box. There is a bracket at the rear of the rack for mounting a light or reflector, so I also added a common bicycle reflector that fits perfectly. I couldn't be more pleased with the quality, fit and price.

I just put this on my Velotric Tempo bicycle and it fit very well. I used the part that connect to the center cross piece right behind the seat. It is very lightweight and sturdy. It doesn't have any spring loaded carrier, but I didn't want it.

Arrived with no instructions although the label said ” installation instructions attached” Also, it had about seven or eight bolts in packaging. But only two lock nuts. No other nuts provided and no idea whether there are even needed since there are no instructions. I expected more from Schwinn I called their customer support phone number and the lady says” we do not provide parts” You’ll have to return the product The product is exactly what I wanted and Schwinn has always been a good name. I don’t really want to return the product, but what choice do I have now? Not very happy If I return the product and I get the same thing back with no instructions and no nuts, I will go nuts OK, I vented. I feel better now ; on with my day! Picture shows 10 bolts and only two nuts. And the packaging label is not instructions its only a label.

A major point of this rack's marketing is its versatility and adaptability to different bike frames. However, I couldn't get it to fit my very middle-of-the-road comfort bike despite a half hour of fooling around with it. Its available connections simply wouldn't match up with my frame geometry. I also disliked the very hard-to-secure combinations of nuts, bolts, and washers, which--despite using my own socket and box-end wrenches--require about four hands to hold all the pieces in place while also positioning the support pieces of this frame. I think it's decent quality, but installation is the bugaboo here and I wouldn't want to attempt it again. I gave up, sent mine back, and ordered a different brand which was much easier to install.

Poor instructions. Missing hardware. However, with much frustration & a trip to the hardware store, I managed to install the rack and it's WELL worth the money! Sturdy and looks great. A large basket I purchased separately fit just fine on it and the rack feels very strong. I recommend this rack, for sure!

It arrived within one day of ordering it and I could be happier with it. It was an easy and simple install, didn’t even need the instructions.

Well priced, very sturdy, well built, easy to install. And works perfectly on my Electra Townie bike. Comes with all the parts you need to mount on pretty much any bike. I was able to use some metal mounting plates to attach a wooden crate to the rack. Looks and works just as well as the very expensive Electra branded rack and crate. I highly recommend this rack!

Sturdy and good design. I had returned a much more expensive competitor rack, because it wasn’t fitting well. Went for this design as it had fewer struts - to me it looked better. Loads of adjustment. Easy enough to fit on my road bike. All m5 bolts needed, are included. They even include fittings if you have a bike that doesn’t have mounting bosses. Took a few minutes to fit to my bike. Very impressed. Seems sturdy.

Item broke after 2 months of usage.
