A good lens for the money, just be careful.
I have an HTC 10 cellphone. I originally purchased a lens with a large bracket that clamped onto the sides of the phone. Since my phone has a slightly curved back, it would not stay attached with or without the case. So I returned it and purchased this one. This one works with a few precautions?????, none if which are killers. It is made well. It has some heft to it which I like; it feels solid. The focus ring operates smoothly and with care you can get a sharp photo. The clamp to hold it in place is metal and works. It came with everything shown including a carry bag and cleaning cloth. (Small but useable) Now how to use it. The instructions are pretty good but missed some fine points. The center of my lens to the edge of the case is 3 cm and the clamp will not fit. You have to remove the case! Without the case, the distance is 2.75 cm and that's the maximum space it will work. The first thing is to align the opening in the clamp with the camera lens and tighten the thumb screw. DO NOT OVER TIGHTEN THE SCREW. It can crack your screen. (The clamp has rubber cushions on both sides so it won't scratch your phone.) Next attach the tripod ring to the lens. (It has a gasket so it doesn't scratch the lens) Screw the lens into the clamp and then the tripod into the clamp. It is possible to use the lens without a tripod, but it isn't easy. Borh pictures I took are without the tripod; first is my phone alone without zoom. The second is with the lens and camera zoom. (Not bad for handheld, it can be sharper with tripod) I was very surprised by the magnification I got. I promise I did nothing special. Just the phone without zoom and the lens with the phone's zoom all handheld. BTW, my autofocus was covered by the clamp. So I used the lens' ring to focus. (The lens doesn't have its own zoom, only focus). All considered, I would buy it again.

Heavy duty construction
Awkward, hard to get centered. Good quality construction. Nice as a mini scope.

Implossible to use
The opening on the iPhone 8 and the iPhone X is larger than the opening on the lens. I think tried my iPhone 6S, which the size fit, but regardless of how much I tighten the clamp, it slides off the lens hole and it's impossible to hold the camera and keep the lens hole over the camera lens. I tried multiple times with no success. Now it sits in a drawer. Frustrated.

Two Stars
To heavy to stay in place. Hard to keep the phone and lens inline.

Nice outlook. Lots of fun to use like a telescope. I attached some photos taken from my house window.

Looks sleek but image quality is not the best
I ordered this product to replace a monocular that I have been using to take photos of the moon using my phone. I was getting great image quality but the lens is heavy and the adapter it needs is difficult to attach. I was hoping this would be a good replacement. It is very pretty and sleek and extremely easy to attach to my Samsung Note and a small tripod. However, the images were not crisp, even using hands-free commands to take the picture. Going to continue using what I have.

Very poor quality
Your advertisement is very miss leading when you put the lens on your phone it’s hardly 2X
