Pour plus de RAM sur mon vivobook X512D
Au cas où quelqu'un dans le même cas que moi se pose la question ! J'ai un laptop vivobook X512D de chez Asus qui a une barrette soudée de 4GB (qu'on ne peut pas changer, donc) et une autre 4GB, SODIMM normale cette fois, que j'ai remplacé par ce que j'ai acheté. Du coup, mon PC passe de 8GB à 20GB sans problème de compatibilité, il est reparti à condition de bien chasser la poussière entassée dans la mini turbine du CPU.

Works well and fits short slot
This is a "short" type RAM, most are long and until you open the computer you don't really know. I used Crucial and another website and they both gave me the wrong size memory. I opened the computer to install one of the wrong ones and discovered its a "short" one. Amazon had it , its the right size, decent price, arrived in fresh blister pack, installed and off to the races. Went from 8gb to 16gb on a 7-8 year old machine with updated software that today needs more ram. Worth the few $ bucks to put a few more years life into it as a second computer. Thank you amazon. Bottom line, open your computer first to see what kind of memory you have and how many slots. Especially if you have an older machine.
