My wife bought me this beautiful leather bag instead of a thick plastic dry bag duffle bag which was more money and I couldn't justify it. So she purchased me this beautiful leather bag and just like the headline it is absolutely stunning. I want to first comment that like everything I buy on Amazon I check out the reviews but in this case she had ordered me the bag and I kind of did a follow-up on the reviews and the comments were extremely raw and angry as ripped handles, crappy zippers with goo on it, and most of all the descriptions of how the bag smelled like dead animals, Play-Doh, burnt steel and such really made me wonder what the wife had actually purchased? What was even more curious was the descriptions were horrific but yet customers gave the bag four stars some only gave two stars their anger was most definitely fresh.I received my bag and immediately was impressed at the weight and thickness and quality of leather the wife had just bought me. The bag was professionally and securely wrapped in plastic and when I popped that baby open, the bag was huge, and immediately I stuck my nose in it and it didn't smell like anything but expensive leather. Like the kind of leather you smell when you buy a wallet. That fresh leather smell which to me signals expensive and quality. This is truly a real leather bag. There are two outside pouches and two zipper compartments on each end. The handles and the metal supports holding the handles look great as I tugged on them. The main body of the bag is outstanding and of quality.I would highly recommend this item to anyone looking for a sturdy and durable leather bag. I use mine for work trucking all of my gear and stuff along with my tablet cords and phone gear along with my favorite book and an extra pair of shoes. Plenty of room here. Now that I have the leather bag I am truly also impressed with the price as this bag which I would assume would be several hundreds of dollars in my local mall or leather jacket store, the wife got this for a little over 70 bucks.Now I haven't filled it up and I haven't dragged it around me for a month or so but I can certainly tell that the quality of workmanship is better than most. I would recommend this as an excellent gift for any wife to purchase for her husband like mine did for me. It's what keeps love alive

A lot of reviewers have complained about this bag and the odor that it has when it arrives. Mine was no different. So as mentioned you do have to let this bag air out for a week or more, preferably where it won't stink up the house. Once the odor dissipates you have yourself a really classy looking and sturdy travel bag. It's got room for a week long trip if you're not crazy with plenty of pockets for all the small stuff you bring along also. I love the look of this bag, it has a very classic look and feel. The interior is spacious. I didn't have any of the issues with the buckles or hardware other reviewers mentioned. All of my hardware was in great shape. Over all I love this bag but I wouldn't recommend using it the day you get it. Let it air out and it will serve you well.

Beautiful item and absolutely as advertised. Large and good quality. However, it smells so bad! And whatever oil was used makes the hardware super sticky. I'm afraid to put clothes in it on the trip I'm going in this week because I'm afraid I'm going to end up smelling like broccoli and crayons (Just my opinion of what the oil smells like). It absolutely overpowers the smell of leather.

I have traveled more than the average person. This bag will be perfect for the quick trips and has plenty of room for a weeks' worth of clothing for a camping trip, vacation or whatever. I like the size of the bag and the design where you can separate and organize your clothing and not just pile everything in and then have to dig through it too fine a T-shirt or pair of socks which will always end up under neath everything else. The quality of this bag seems very good, and it is very roomy, not to mention you just can't beat the look of a good leather bag. I expect to get many years of service out of this one. Very pleased with this purchase.

For years I used a leather duffel as my weekend bag. If finally after 30 years began to fall apart last falk. I have been looking for a new one since. I picked this one because of other reviews. It is well made and great looking. Though looks are secondary to how sturdy it is. It needs to take getting thrown around. And I think this one will. If there is a con it is a bit stiff. I never had goat leather before. I assume it will soft with time and use. There is a sight smell different from cow leather but it is not offensive and I am airing it before I use it in two weeks. Oh and it looks as good as photos show. I have pillows in it right now to get shipping folds out.

I was a bit apprehensive about this purchase as a few commented on a smell with the product. I am so glad I took a chance on this bag. A slight leather/lanolin type aroma which dissipated quickly. Nothing close to disagreeable or past what you would encounter with a new leather purchase.Seller included a very nice note on care and customer appreciation.DO NOT HESITATE to try this bag out if you are in the market for a stylish and heavy duty durable bag for traveling.This is total quality and I cannot believe the price. VERY HAPPY!!EDIT: After 2 days bag is packed and in my car for a road trip. NO SMELL!!!!GREAT BAG! Purchased a second one.

I love the look and heft of the bag; its sturdy and is a good looking. But,,, the first one arrive in a vacuum sealed bag. It had gotten wet inside the bag, for so long that the buckles had corroded. The smell, or should I say, stench, it was horrid. So I took it to Kohls and waited for the new one. The new one arrived; the buckles were not corroded but the wet smell and feel were still there, just not as bad. So I took it out on the patio and left it outside for what ended up being two weeks. Still stinks. I have it in the garage as my wife wont let me bring it in. Past the 30 days now so I am going to try to fix the smell and move on. The management chain I am sure is aware of this problem in either the pallet or the shipping container. Selling it anyway; shame on you! Don't buy from this company....
