Very uplifting and economical essential oil ...
Essential oils come in varying degrees of purity and some of the cheaper ones are not worth buying as they contain almost no healing properties. I love essential oils and use them in many different ways … using them in aroma diffusers and in essential oil burners around the home. I also add a few drops of essential oils to body lotions, shampoos, conditioners, hand creams and even washing up liquid and fabric softeners. In fact I use them in too many ways to list here … suffice to say I get through a lot of oils. I received a 30ml bottle of lime essential oil to review produced by a company called Greenwood Essential. I'm a great fan of Greenwood's products which are all of excellent quality. The bottle looks to be made from good quality dark amber glass which should protect the essential oil from deteriorating from ultra violet light. The bottle lid is leak free and the oil is dispensed a drop at a time through the inserted dropper nozzle inside the neck of the bottle. The scent of this lime essential oil is sweet yet tart, citrusy, fresh and cheerful aroma … it also mixes well with other essential oils. In the summer months I like to use this essential oil to scent a room using an Aroma Diffuser or by using an essential oil burner (my preferred method). I've also added a couple of drops to my bath water which worked really well. Lime essential oil is often used as an internal cleanser. Lime oil may also support healthy immune function. It can also be used in cleaning the house and if added to skin care products helps to purify the skin and hair.Thank you for reading and I hope you have found my review helpful.

Authentic & 100% pure essential oil
This is a very pure & authentic essential oil. With most their oils, a little dab on a cloth or skin, & the scent lingers for hours noticeably. & There's no hint of synthetic or impurity. As expected from this brand (I've tried many of their oils & essential oils), this is very authentic & high quality & 100% pure. Essential oils are not regulated, so anyone can claim they're 100% natural & pure but be synthetic or partially natural. This is top of the range quality as far as I'm aware.I've been using essential oils for many years & certainly feel they are uplifting & beneficial. Although you have to be careful with them. Never use them undiluted on the skin, always with a carrier oil such as jojoba, sesame, etcYou can use essential oils to bath, aromatherapy diffuser, unscented washing up liquid, as a spray (I add polysorbate 20 so the oil mixes with water), skincare (be careful though, if you put too much or use ones that's not suitable for skin, you can get an allergic reaction). Some people even add them to bucket water & mop the floor! You'll have a beautiful scent throughout the house BUT obviously I don't use expensive ones for this purpose. Or even on a cotton handkerchief & sniff throughout the day to get its benefits!I don't advise heating them under candle or any other way as the heat kills their properties. Unless you just want the scent! Please note: essential oils are not for consumption or to put in food, unless they're labelled: FOOD GRADE. Otherwise dangerous & toxic to ingest them or take internally. This Lime essential oil is very fresh, & refreshing! It's not too citrusy or sharp but rather a mild like scent. I'd say that's due to its authenticity.Excellent value for money @ £10 for 30ml.Here's some fun facts about like essential oil:Lime is the leprechaun of the Lemon family, a cheeky little green fellow with a mischievous twinkle in his eyes - if limes had eyes, that is. However, limes, being of distinctly tropical origin, prefer warmer climes than the leprechaun,. Though they became world famous as Key limes or Mexican limes their true home is the Malay archipelago from where they have migrated, taking advantage of passing Arab traders, who brought them back to the Mediterranean. However, the Mediterranean climate does not suit the lime that well and so, it never became widely cultivated there. Instead, it set its eyes on the New World, which it reached with the ships of the Spaniards and there, in the tropical islands of the Caribbean, it felt right at home. In Western countries they are now mostly appreciated for the distinct flavour they give to Key Lime pies and to various cocktails, such as 'Margaritas', which has earned them the nickname of 'Cocktail Lime'. Crafty chefs actually use it as a 'secret ingredient' in numerous dishes, adding a certain barely discernible 'twang' that excites the palate. Back in Southeast Asia, even their leaves are frequently used to as a spice. There, they also play an important role in folk medicine and magic. Malaysian witch doctors use limes for all manner of spells: to win someone's love, to cast the demons of disease to the winds, to protect against all manner of evil devils, to protect new born babies and their mothers during pregnancy and boys at their circumcision rites. Caution: like other citrus oils Lime can irritate the skin in sensitive individual and causes treated skin to become photosensitive.TraditionalAromatherapy uses for Lime are similar to those for Lemon, though Lime is more refreshing and acts more noticeably on the mind. It fights fatigue and stimulates alertness due to its energising effect on the circulation. It can be used to treat headaches (especially where these arise from exhaustion) and makes a very refreshing compress for feverish conditions. In aromatherapy skin care it can be used to treat brittle nails and in cleansing preparations for spotty and greasy skin. It also acts on corns, warts and boils. It is very effective as a skin toning agent for treating cellulites and broken capillaries. It can be used to clear the air in a sick room and helps clear mucus congestion from the upper respiratory tract. Like other Lemon scented oils Lime repels insects and soothes the itchiness of bites. Use with caution. It may cause a skin reaction in sensitive individuals. Avoid exposing treated skin areas to the sun, as it is photosensitising.MagicalAccording to Malay folklore evil spirits hate it, which makes it useful for all kinds of ritual cleansing and purification, and above all, for protection. It can be used to protect a newly wed couple, or to avert vampires, or to guard the souls of newborn babies. It is also mentioned as being used for love spells, though it does not feature as an aphrodisiac as such. Lime gives zest and alertness, though it is too energising for meditation. Rather, it strengthens spiritual warriors in the eternal fight against evil.Blends well with Neroli, Orange, Clary Sage and Mandarin.

Citrus scent, good healthy properties
The Greenwood’s pure lime essential oil with lots of healthy benefitsA nice bottle which is sealed with a plastic type popper, so basically doesn’t spillThe fastened popper to be removed when using, then fit in the plastic dropper. Very important so not to use to much.DO NOT USE ALONE, OR ON ITS OWN... to use correctly, requires a carrier oil, ie, almond oil, a thicker emollient, emu oil etc. Follow the instructions on how many drops to put in to mix. Mix well, very important to mix because any lime essential oil not mixed will burn the skin. I had an accident on one of the essential oils and did not put enough carrier oil to it, a burning feeling on my body, yes it burns. I am fine, but I cannot state this enough. The essential lime is really niceCan be used every day for a good massage, in the bath ( I put in emollient plus essential oil). Nice to relax, and know the oil is doing it’s job.The essential oil good for hair as a lot of these oils are, but it is not just for hair. Helps with frizzy or oily hair. I mix a few drops with either my shampoo, or conditioner. Makes my hair smell nice, fresh and scented a little. Only a couple of drops I use it for this purpose. This oil has citrusy tang to it, very sharpI use this oil in my diffusers also with waterThe citrus aroma clears the mindCan be used as a cleanser, with a carrier oil to help defects of the skinFull of antioxidantsWhen applied to skin with carrier oil, helps with the skin, curing infectionsI would advise to look up the uses for yourself as I do, it is surprising what the oil is good for.I have been using greenwoods essential for months, never had one I haven’t liked, suits my skin, helped with hard skin on my feet etcNice to be displaced in the bathroomI recommend this oil and it’s uses, I feel so much uplifted now.* Thank you to the seller** I hope my review helps, kind regards**

Refreshing scent
Fresh and rejuvenating scent.I usually get an orange oil for an uplift and this is the first time I am trying lime, but it works similar way and the smell is really nice.It works well added to a bath, carrier oil for a massage, diffuser or oil burner. I mostly use it in my body oil and oil burner. Lime oil should be good for an oily skin as it balances it, reduces anxiety and stress and can be added into home made cleaning products.I probably would avoid adding too much to any face product as it could cause photo sensitivity. Some lime oils can be also used internally (lime is an internal cleanser) but I am not sure this one can as it is stated as a premium therapeutic grade (not food grade) on the label and it’s not mentioned on the packaging as another option to use. I am tempted to contact the company and ask whether it could be used internally, too, as a flavour enhancer.Nice big bottle, 30ml and you are usually using only a few drops so a good value. It comes in a paper box and there is a dropper to be attached.Happy with the product!

Sharp and tangy lime
Perfect quality better value 30ml bottle of essential oil, the lime scent is very sharp and tangy, it is one of my favourites and is simply fantastic oil. Comes in a sealed box and has an anti-tamper seal on the lid. Comes with an optional dropper cap which is quick and easy to install. I use a few drops in my diffuser and smells great on its own or mixed in with other pure essential oils, i especially like lime with basil and mandarin. I also like it mixed with lemon for a clean amd refreshing scent or with eucalyptus which is good for the sinuses. This is perfectly good essential oil although the current price of just under £10 for 30ml is slightly more than I usually pay for lime oil but only because i usually buy on special offer so this is probably competitively priced. The quality is very good and this larger bottle will last for a long time. I have tried other greenwood oils and they do not degrade and are long lasting.
