Great bagel flavoring
Works great in my bagels! The only issue is when you open it, you have to keep it refrigerated. When you get it out to use it, it's thick and very difficult to measure out.

Strip brought bagels to the next level
This syrup took the flavor of my bagels to another level! It is to be refrigerated after opening. I would advise letting it come to room temp before adding to the dough as it is thick.

Beer substitute in recipes.
I’ve been sober for over 6 years. I’m also someone who enjoys cooking gourmet foods that regularly have beer or wine in them. I’ve learned a great trick for wine, and this will now be part of my arsenal for anything requiring beer. I recommend replacing the same amount of liquid in the recipe, and here is how I prepare one cup of it. 1 cup of beef broth, 1/4 tsp of the barley malt syrup, and 1 tablespoon of your favorite vinegar. Mix well and add to the recipe. Sure, you can just add the broth, but it can sometimes leave the meal tasting flat. I tried this method in my instant pot where I made a shredded beef for tacos with ancho chili powder as the predominant flavor. It turned out great. Now I’m going to start making recipes that call for beer and not worry about jeopardizing my sobriety. Hope this helps you out. Enjoy.

Makes the BEST malted milk shakes ever!!!!
I had been looking for that old time smell, taste, and texture of a soda fountain malted milk shake. A few scoops of good vanilla ice cream, a teaspoon of the thick, malty, sweet syrup, a splash of milk, and some chocolate syrup and you have a great thickly textured, malty smelling, old time Chocolate Malted Milk Shake! Great value because you can use it for so many other things like bread making, or beer!!!!

Give your homemade bagels their unmistakeable flavor
If you're ever making traditional bagels at home from scratch, this is a must for that unmistakable flavor and color. I've tried everything else, honey, molasses, brown sugar, maple sugar, even malt powder..... The only con and this is really nit picking but this can be fun to measure out. It's VERY thick and viscus.
