Sanniti Traditional Barley Malt Syrup, 20 oz

I am going to be using this to make my own crackers. I will update this review when I've tried the finished crackers but it looks and smells to be what it says it is. Shipping could be a problem as it appeared to be thoroughly wrapped but still leaky. Perhaps sellers of syrups and fluids of all types would be wise to place a strip of frog tape over the area most likely to leak in transit and avoid a lot of returns, credits and messes??

This syrup took the flavor of my bagels to another level! It is to be refrigerated after opening. I would advise letting it come to room temp before adding to the dough as it is thick.

I’ve been sober for over 6 years. I’m also someone who enjoys cooking gourmet foods that regularly have beer or wine in them. I’ve learned a great trick for wine, and this will now be part of my arsenal for anything requiring beer. I recommend replacing the same amount of liquid in the recipe, and here is how I prepare one cup of it. 1 cup of beef broth, 1/4 tsp of the barley malt syrup, and 1 tablespoon of your favorite vinegar. Mix well and add to the recipe. Sure, you can just add the broth, but it can sometimes leave the meal tasting flat. I tried this method in my instant pot where I made a shredded beef for tacos with ancho chili powder as the predominant flavor. It turned out great. Now I’m going to start making recipes that call for beer and not worry about jeopardizing my sobriety. Hope this helps you out. Enjoy.

I like the product but twice it’s arrived leaking and unable to use. Contacted Amazon twice and they said they would reimburse me and they haven’t I’m waiting since May 25th. So today I ordered from another company Eden organic barley Dane size jar and cheaper. Maybe they will ship damaged product. I’ve been buying this barley for a couple of years and this is the second jar arriving damaged

Works great in my bagels! The only issue is when you open it, you have to keep it refrigerated. When you get it out to use it, it's thick and very difficult to measure out.

Both my daughter and I have a teaspoon a day and gives us energy and focus , though sometimes this brand is hard to get I’m not sure why. We have tried other brands but the taste of this brand in the best
