I bought this item for a part of my survival kit. I think it's a great item Where I haven't used it yet. The design is that's right, it's supposedly be water proof. It was a great value. The weight of it is just fine. And when it's right time for it, I believe it'd be easy to use. I do recommend start a survivor kit for your family.And this is one of the items I would recommend to buy

I'm using the product to block illegal infrared surveillance from my neighbors and landlord of my desk area, in order to prevent my bank account and credit accounts being hacked. I know it isn't the usual use of the product, but it works though as it easily shreds must be replaced frequently.

I purchased this 12 pack of Everlit Mylar thermal blankets to put in the shelters I set up for 4 stray cats. I have 4 shelters, so I covered each one with a Mylar sheet and then put the lid on the large plastic storage bins that protect the cats from the elements. The lid holds the sheets in place securely. I think it's warmer inside the shelters with these Everlit Mylar thermal blankets. In the morning, I watch the cats come out of the bins and take a good stretch, as if they had a comfortable night of sleep. I'm happy that I was able to make these fur babies feel warmer in this cold weather.

These are great all around. Larger size. You can hand out to homeless. Keep in the car for emergency breakdowns. Camping gear. Line cat or dog shelters you have for winter warmth. Keep in the house for power out times. Wide range of uses.

I've bought three other brands in the past, and they are difficult to open, even tear when trying to open, and very fragile and thin. Wouldn't be great for an emergency situation. I was pleasantly surprised with these, though. They open very easily--no sticking together or tearing. They may be a tiny bit thicker than the others? Overall, these are the best quality ones I've found. I will definitely buy this brand again.
