Sharpens really well and stops once the pencils is sharpened!!

This sharpener was recommended by a fellow color pencil artist. I loved it so much that I bought another for my art studio in another state. I no longer have to lug mine around on the plane with me and its quick. I have a bit of arthritis and appreciate the electric, plus the many pencil size/shape selection. It is auto-stop so I do not continue to 'waste chew' up my precious pencils and am able to get a very nice, long sharp point. The shavings waste bin is easy to remove and dump without messy shavings remaining. The suction does a great job. It sits on a glass covered table so gets a good grip. For the price it is an excellent value. *Bonus is the bright, cheery pink color. I get teased on that good heartedly, so I have decided to 'bling' mine out even more with some rhinestones just to show my teasers who exactly is the boss! ;-) Will have to share a photo I guess. Highly recommend.

As a father of a child who goes to primary school, the amount of pencil sharpening required per week is quite intense. After now years of using these cheap (almost disposable) sharpeners, we decided to "splurge" (less than ~$30) on an electric pencil sharpener. Pros: + Electric sharpener! - Thus less arm/hand strain, faster sharpening, less cleanup + Massive container for shavings + Well-made design (suction cups to attach to table, rotating pencil shape wheel) + Sharpens multiple types of pencils + The auto-stop does work - so it is rather economical in its sharpening with less risk of completely shaving off the pencil Negatives: - You need an electric plug nearby (i.e. not wirelessly/battery driven) - The footprint is pretty significant for a sharpener Neutral: +/- Some people really dislike the sound of it. I find it rather soothing that you can "hear" the device shaving off the pencil. +/- It is a forward feed design - many people like the haptics of a "top-loading" design more - I think that is debatable. Overall, if you come from manual pencil sharpening, this is nothing short of a game-changer. Such a convenient device that will help you keep everything sharpened at a lightning speed. Given the time and efforts saved, this is a great and affordable product even for occasional use - highly recommended. I can only image what efficiency gains you would get in heavy-duty classrooms that do not have an electric sharpener yet! If you already have an electric sharpener, this device is likely less impressive to you - however, its raw power and attractive price might still convince you to give this a try.

I liked this electric pencil sharpener so much that I purchased it twice. It works very well and sharpens pencils quickly and evenly. Works great. Work in an adult daycare and we go through pencils every day. We have over 70 people using colored pencils most days and they need sharpened daily if not more. It is super easy to use and doesn't chew up the entire pencil.

I love this sharpener. It is very powerful and quick. It stops when finished on its own. The suction cups are nice and I love that it has different sizes. Makes sharpening very simple and easy.

This sharpener is really awesome! I love that there are multiple openings so you can sharpen ALL your pencils. Sometimes you have that huge pencil lying around the house and you have to sharpen it with a pocket knife! Well, not anymore!! It fits in this baby! I also love that the feet suction to the table. We have ours suctioned in a window sill. It's out of the way, but easily accessible to everyone. The shavings catcher is easy to open, too. You just slide it out, dump the shavings, and put it right back in. I also like that it stops sharpening when the pencil is done. With kids, this feature is helpful so they know when the pencil is done. It's not too loud, and is a hefty unit. It has some weight to it, but if you have it in one place, the weight doesn't matter. It is a durable unit too. We've had relatives kids over who do not have an electric sharpener and have stuck crayons or the wrong end of the pencil into it. It is still going strong despite being used improperly a couple times. It took me a few minutes to clean it out, no biggie. Now I put it away when we have company over. So if accidents happen, it'll probably still be ok!

Like many others have reported, we used this maybe 4 times and it stopped working. I’ve reached out to the customer support email and am awaiting resolution. Hopefully it works out well in the end though I’m not sure how confident I am in this brand in general. UPDATE: the AMFAT customer service has been amazing. They quickly sent a replacement and the replacement item has been working great/is lasting much longer.

It is so fast and does a perfect job. I love it.

Unless the sharpener is broken, it doesn't work in the UAE. Has an American plug and I tried 2 different converters ... nothing. No sound or movement.
