Rub it in
Our young son knows a fair bit about the 1st and 2nd world war and trench warfare in particular as a result of books, museum visits and toys. So I was quite pleased to find this WW1 rub down transfer sheet.We typically use these sheets as an after-homework joint activity, where I either assist with cutting the individual transfers or the rubbing. In this case it was particularly nice to have a small discussion regarding the subject. The activity is pleasing. The result, if you take some care can be nice. It's a fun activity for children, though if you are a nitpicker and want to do it right the trickier part is the size of the transfers and the perspective, for which an adult may need to assist.The only drawback with these rub down sheets (that I quite enjoyed myself in the 70’s) is that when it’s done, its kind of done. But then again the sheets are priced for that.
