Great for melting PLA
I use this for melting different PLA parts together. It gets very hot and makes short work of things. Would highly recommend!

Crude, but effective
I chose the 150w version. The power rating is accurate, and it gets HOT, but the optimization of heat transfer from the heating element into the iron itself is rather abysmal. There's simply an excess gap between the tinned copper copper core (the iron) and the heating element. It takes a while, a couple-few minutes at least, for it to get up to temperature as most of the heat is immediately lost out to the sides before it ever makes it into the core of the unit. The power cord itself is ridiculous short lol. It's less than 3 feet long. Once temperature is reached, it holds enough heat to handle most tasks that a smaller/normal soldering iron can't. Keep in mind that these high powered units are rather heavy and unwieldy and that the power cord is quite short, so you will need some sort of extension in order to make this tool more usable. Besides it's unearingly long warm up times and the initial smoke that was produced, the 150w version does everything that it should. The indicator light is incredibly helpful for knowing if your iron is powered on and the unit comes with a spare iron and spare heating element, which is a nice touch. Not a high end or refined design, but it works well enough in a pinch. = )

It is not 150 watts.
It takes quite a long time to heat up. During the minutes I used it, it kept releasing smoke from the cooling area. Another thing: it claims to be 150W, but it barely had a power consumption of around 110W.

unreliable
I was surprised opening the package to find a spare heating element. But now I know why. The first element burnt out at around 1 hour of use the second one gave me 10 minutes. I'm past the return window or this thing would be going back. Additionally, the cord is ridiculously short and rather thick even though the wires inside are quite thin. This combination made using the unit pretty awkward.

Wish this had a straight tip included ***update*** this failed less than 6months of use.😢

Burned out in the first 20 min
The unit got red hot and did not last 20 min, I put the replacement element in and it did not work at all.
