best wet-type spray lube
rule #1 - don't use WD-40 for anything!rule #2 - for anything where a wet type spray lube is needed, use Tri-Flow. The lubrication qualities are very good for a thin oil. The persistence in the lubed areas is very good. Seems pretty resistant to water washout. Anti-corrosion seems pretty good. As near as I can tell this stuff never completely dries out. That is a good thing, because most light oils, when they dry out, leave behind something like varnish which will gum up the things you want lubricated. I have exterior locks on my cars that were lubed with tri-flow about 6 years ago and they still work great. Great for bicycle parts, blow-off valve on your turbo car, makes locks operate smoothly, etc. The little tube is good for getting it into small areas. As for WD-40, as I said, don't use it. If you have some WD-40 you want to use up, you can use it as a cleaning fluid on any metal thing that you can completely disassemble to wipe off all the oil with a rag so you don't leave any behind. Then lube it with Tri-Flow! I took a machine shop class one year in college where at the start of the year, all the ways and turrets on all the machine tools were stuck because they had been put away the previous year with WD-40. Man was the instructor mad! It took us days to loosen everything up, and still the precision ground metal surfaces on the machines were covered with yellow varnish left behind by the WD-40. Yuck!

Wonderful for stuck key
My mail key had been stuck for a few weeks. I tried using hand sanitizer on it. I tried using graphite. They would work for a day and my key would get stuck again. So I bought this lubricant and now my key works so good! The initial application was a bit awkward as I sprayed too much and the product sprayed back all over me, but I figured it out. Really happy with this purchase.

My favorite Spray Lubricant
This is my favorite spray lubricant. I've used Tri-Flow for several years with good results. For some reason it's been harder to find in stores lately so I was happy to find it on Amazon. The "Tri" in the name stands for triple action, "clean, protect and lubricate" and it does all that. I use it on everything including automotive fasteners, power equipment. locks, cables, bikes and hinges. It comes in an aerosol with a straw that helps to spray it in just the right place without making a mess. A can lasts along time since it takes very little product to do the job. It leaves a very thin film that is very slick and has an interesting banana scent. Here are the technical specs:Base Mineral Oil with PTFE, Color Brown, Temp. Range -60 Degrees to 475 Degrees F, Flash Point None, Dielectric Strength 10,500V, VOC Content 48.20 Percent, Specific Gravity 0.78, Metal Detectable No, Application Cables, Ball, Socket Joints, Air Power Tools, Conveyors, Electric Power ToolsTri-Flow is very popular with the bicycle community and can often be found on the shelf in bike shops. It does a very good job of reducing friction and wear and protects against corrosion. Stays on a bike chain for a long time. It's a very light viscosity lube that penetrates hard to reach places, much like a penetrating oil. I have a number of other spray lubricants on my shelf but Tri-Flow is my long term favorite. Highly recommended.

Excellent bike lubricant
Recently bought a used Diamondback mountain bike that hadn't been used in 5 years. The shifters were very difficult to use but after using this lubricant the bike is riding beautifully. I highly recommend this product.

The good stuff for bikes and anything else
This seems to be the industry standard and works well! I have many lubricants but none were dry. I opted for the spray bottle which makes it easier to get into tighter spots without flipping the bike over.
