Zinc Oxide Powder, 1.5 Lb

Pretty good so far

In my quest to create a natural sunscreen, Non-Nano Zinc Oxide was an indispensable ingredient. It has delivered outstanding sun protection without the use of harmful nano particles - a win for my skin health! Here’s the simple recipe I followed: • 1 oz Grass-fed Tallow • 1 oz Coconut Oil • 1.5 oz Avocado Oil • 1/2 oz Beeswax • 1/2 oz Shea Butter • 2 tbsp Non-nano Zinc Oxide • 1/2 tbsp Cacao Combine all these ingredients in a double boiler and melt until they are well combined. Then pour the mixture into a glass container and let it cool. The Non-Nano Zinc Oxide played a crucial role in this recipe. It provided a strong shield against the sun’s harmful rays, proving to be an effective and safe alternative to the chemicals often used in commercial sunscreens. The fact that it is non-nano assures me that my skin isn’t absorbing tiny particles that could pose health risks. In summary, this Non-Nano Zinc Oxide has rightfully earned its 5-star rating. Its superior performance in my DIY sunscreen demonstrates its quality and effectiveness. If you’re seeking to create a healthier, more natural sunscreen, I highly recommend incorporating this Non-Nano Zinc Oxide into your recipe. It’s a game changer for sun protection!

This zinc oxide is exactly what I was looking for—pure, non-nano, and free from unnecessary additives. The texture is fine and smooth, making it easy to blend into DIY sunscreens, lotions, and other skincare projects. I also appreciate the eco-friendly packaging, which is sturdy and resealable to keep the powder fresh. The 8 oz size is generous and will last through many batches of homemade products. Overall, this is a clean, reliable zinc oxide powder that’s perfect for natural skincare and wellness uses.

I discovered that Zinc Oxide reduces inflammation when applied topically on skin. It is used in many medicinal skin creams. It's used in head and shoulders, cream for babies butts, sunblock in the 1970s, etc. My son was prescribed sunblock with heavy zinc content to help reduce acne inflammation. It seemed to help a lot. The product he was prescribed was very expensive. It seemed like getting the active ingredient and applying it directly to the skin with a cosmetic makeup brush or thinned with lots of water would likely be equally effective. I ordered this to experiment with using it directly with a cosmetic makeup brush to apply it quicker and more evenly and cheaper. I tried it on myself and it is very easy to apply and not visible to the naked eye. I'm sure if you used a lot of it you might be able to see the white dust. Now I'm on a roll with adding this powder to all my favorite products. As I mentioned, it's an active ingredient in head and shoulders shampoo. The problem with this head and shoulders shampoo is that it removes my hair straightening product when I use it. Every summer I have shiny straight hair. When winter comes and I get seasonal flaky scalp, I use Head and Shoulders and it washes all my straightening product out of my hair giving me curly hair. I added the zinc oxide to my sulfate free shampoo that I use during the summer time and I'm hoping it will control the flakes as well as head and shoulders. We just got back from a trip to Hawaii and I was bitten by many insects. I mixed some zinc oxide with water made a paste and applied it to my bug bites. It helped relieve the itch and reduce the redness. It wasn't complete magic but it definitely cut the itching down about 75 to 80%. I also can barely see redness this morning after applying it last night. Anyway, choose your purpose and enjoy this simple inexpensive way to add zinc oxide to your products. I prefer it for topical use only.

Quality is above and beyond what one would expect for the price however there are no instructions as to how to mix and with what substance to mix the product. There are no suggestions of how it can be used and in the ad it doesn't state that is not to be taken internally. One would need to know the chemical makeup of the product and its uses with no description from the manufacturer. A little more information provided and shipped with the product will get you five stars.

Works great! I'm a ginger who has many allergies, so the ability to kar homemade sunblock is a necessity. Works like a charm! I added 1 tablespoon to 1 cup mixed oils and it's a little heavy, but I don't mind. My neighbor adds 1.5 teaspoons to.1 cup mixed oils and 1 tablespoon melted beeswax pellets for a waterproof version. Cannot beat the price and more importantly the coverage because the quality of the product is excellent.

True zinc and nothing else. You can mix with coconut oil or cream to put on wounds Truth white old school zinc..

Good quality. Loved using it in my diy body powder. Perfect for sun protection.

No había sido fácil encontrar óxido de zinc en la cantidad y calidad que tuvo este producto. Cumplió con las expectativas. 100% recomendado.

I used this product to make my own DIY deodorant, and it worked perfectly. No skin sensitivity or irritation at all. I’m very happy with the results. I’m trying to buy more, but unfortunately it’s currently not available for shipping from Amazon Saudi Arabia. I hope it becomes available again soon.
