Love this thing (still)
I had one of the smaller countertop type ice maker for several years. It worked well, but I had a few problems with it. First, it didn't store a lot of ice. It made more relatively quickly, but only a few 32 Oz cups would empty the basket pretty quickly. Second, it didn't hold much water. I was constantly having to refill the reservoir. Finally, the little sensor that told it to stop making ice was constantly getting fooled by one errant piece too close to it. So when it finally died, I took the plunge and bought this. All of those problems are solved by it. It also dispenses the ice kind of like one of those refrigerator doors. It replaces my water cooler, because it dispenses hot and cold water too. Though I have yet to try the hot water. ( I bought it last month and it's a billion degrees outside now). I drink more water now, because it is convenient. I keep some of those water flavor things near by and it is a snap to have an icy cold, non-soda beverage whenever I want one. I was a little concerned about how often I would need to replace the 5 gallon jugs of water. But I found a place to refill them near by that is WAY cheaper than doing the bottle exchange thing. And, with the reusable silicone caps I (also) got from Amazon, that is now a breeze too. Yes, all of this would be doable with a refrigerator that has the in-door thing, but mine doesn't, and I rent. So this is perfect for me. It really is a step above the smaller ones, as cool (pun absolutely intended) as they are. UPDATE! I still love this, btw. A while ago, someone asked a question about the machine and I didn't have the answer. Now, I do. The question was 'how much water does it old if you DON'T use a 5 or 3 gallon jugs on top?' It has taken me a while to get the answer because, while it has an internal reservoir, you can't see it. And the " add water" light comes on when that reservoir is ( presumably) low, but not empty. So, to find out how much water the reservoir holds I had to run it completely empty and then pour water into the top. I just never wanted to do that. But I finally did, and now I know. 1 gallon. It holds a gallon of water without an additional source.

WATER TASTES LIKE CHEMICALS
UPDATE: The seller contacted me and suggested that I add lemon juice to the dispensing area. They also offered to refund $50. Even though I knew it would just be masking the taste, I accepted the $50 and added the lemon. I DON'T SUGGEST ANYONE DO THIS. It did mask the chemical taste, as expected, but I also ended up with mold in my dispenser. After researching effective ways to clean and disinfect the dispenser, I can now say that my water tastes wonderfully fresh. I follow a gentleman on YouTube that owns a water delivery company and I have watched his videos for tips on cleaning my 3 and 5 gallon water bottles. After my lemon juice debacle, I figured, he's got to have a video on cleaning the dispenser, and of course, he did. For those that need help with the chemical taste, or if you fell for the lemon juice suggestion like me, here is what I did: 1. I removed the bottle dispensing part (Not sure what the actual name is, but it's the part on top with the stem inside for the water bottle). I scrubbed this part thoroughly with soap and hot water, then placed in the dishwasher. 2. I unlatched the back of the machine at the top 2 latches. Here is where I noticed either dust or mold (not sure which it was), on the little flap that helps direct the ice. This part is not removeable without taking the whole machine apart. I placed enough paper towels in the opening to block any mold/dust from falling down into the ice holding area while cleaning. Then I took a toothbrush and soap and water and scrubbed the flap until it was clean. 3. I next unscrewed the 2 screws that hold in a part that is kind of half bowl shaped (Sorry guys, I'm not sure what the parts are called). But I scrubbed this part with soap and water and placed it in the dishwasher. I added the front drip tray to the dishwasher load and ran the quick cycle. 4. While the dishwasher was running, I took 1 tbs bleach and added it to 1 gallon of warm water (I happen to have 2 one gallon jugs so I added 1 tbs bleach to each with warm water). I took 1 of the jugs and poured it into the water reservoir. I plugged the machine in so the bleach water would drain into the hot and cold dispensing areas. I took a sponge and scrubbed inside the water reservoir. I then let it sit until the dishwasher was done (including the dry cycle). 5. Once the dishwasher was done, I placed a bucket under the dispensing nozzles and drained as much water from them as I could. I then placed the machine on my counter, with the drain holes over the sink and allowed the water to drain. 6. I placed the plugs back into their holes and then poured the second jug of bleach water into the water reservoir. This time, I only let it sit for about 5 minutes, then pulled the plugs and let it drain (Just the plugs this time, not the dispensing areas). 7. I filled the reservoir and drained it another 3 to 4 times with plain warm water, then put all the parts back in place. I did this about a week ago and have just finished a 3 gallon jug and the water tastes AWESOME. Tastes as crisp and clean as my other water dispenser that this one replaced. I know the manual says not to use bleach when cleaning the machine, but the dispenser was going to end up in a landfill anyway, so I thought, why not try the above cleaning method. I am satisfied with the way my water now tastes and will continue to clean my dispenser as mentioned above every other month. Hope this review helps others that are having issues with a chemical taste to their water. I will leave my star rating at 1, because I think this chemical taste is an issue the seller is clearly aware of or they wouldn't be suggesting to add lemon juice to the reservoir to "mask" the taste. I love that I can use jugs of bottled water and that this dispenser makes ice, but if/when it needs to be replaced, I will not buy this one again. Hopefully there will be something similar available when the time comes to replace this one. ORIGINAL: I bought this dispenser in June. I was hoping the chemical taste would go away after cleaning and use. I have now cleaned it out 2 times and have used 4 three gallon jugs and the water still tastes like I'm drinking chemicals. I have reached out to the seller today requesting a refund. $280 plus taxes is a lot of money to spend on something we won't use. Very disappointed, hopefully I will get a refund.

Ice and water dispenser!
I love that this water dispenser can also dispense ice! It’s got 3-in-1 functionality as it can dispense hot water, cold water and ice. The ice making can be a little noisy, but you have the option to turn it off whenever you want by pressing on the ice icon. I also like that it gives me the option to either use the water jugs or i can just add water myself. The machine is also small enough to fit in a console table so my guests have easy access to cold water anytime. Overall, it is a great dispenser.

Having the water cold and the ice is real nice
I think I see one major flaw though. How do you empty it with the drain plugs right under the unit? It would seem you would have to take it directly over to the sink and tilt it to even get at the drain plugs. That seems very inconvenient to me, especially if there is no drain hose under the drain caps. It seems to me you'd have to hold half the unit right over the sink. Or put in in the sink. I don't see anything else that turns me off. It looks nice, the water is cold and seems like it works like it was designed to. But I don't think you would have that problem with a floor model.

So convenient.
I love the convenience of having hot and cold water AND ice all in one dispenser. It was easy easy set up. Followed instruction for cleaning out reservoir and trays in back with weak dish soap and used a long handled sponge to get around inside the back. Pulled both plugs on bottom but no water came out so simply filled the unit with water and ran water out of the hot and cold dispensers until it ran clear. It is not completely taste free. Both the ice and the cold water taste like the dispensers on a refrigerator do. Definitely not a deal breaker. Within about 15 minutes of starting ice cycle it dumps it's first load of ice and every 5 to 7 minutes thereafter until you turn it off. Within half an hour I have enough ice for my 40 oz work thermos. My daughter made hot chocolate. Turned on the hot water and by the time she got everything prepared it was ready. Some say it's too noisy but I don't think so. Yes you can hear it dumping the ice and you can hear the compressor kick in to chill the water every 3 or 4 hours but honestly my A/C is louder than this little machine. It is the perfect size to fit in a little leftover corner in my dining room with space for ventilation on both sides. This little machine is well worth the money.

Wonderful 😘
People don't believe when somebody said that the water taste bad that's mean they don't cleaned the water bottle and the plastic cap with water and vinegar for 24 hours is you do that nothing will change also I filled with water from the faucet the machine (you can do that by hand) and let the machine working with this water for 24 hours to remember to empty the machine with all the functions ICE, HOT WATER AND COLD WATER after that you can start to use the machine without any taste. All those things was what I did and now I enjoy my machine 😀😀😀 💦💦 water 💦

DO NOT BUY!! SO LOUD 24-7, ONLY GIVES 1 CUP AT A TIME, FLAKEY STUFF IN WATER & SUPER BRIGHT LIGHT
This is the worst product I’ve ever bought. It’s so loud every 15 minutes when the ice drops, it has white flakes in the water/ice, it makes the water taste weird, it’s loud just when it’s on, it only gives you one cup of water a time (good luck filling up a pot LOL), there is no option for room temperature, and I had to cover the unnecessarily bright lights with cardboard and black marker just to make it possible to sleep in the same room with it. Also, if the power goes out, it will flood your ENTIRE ROOM. I’d give this negative 100 stars if I could, I can’t even figure out how to give it away. Whoever made this should be super embarrassed. Oh and I forgot to mention, if you use the ice, it drops 1 lingering ice cube randomly like 30-40 seconds after you pull the cup away. This is the only review I’ve ever taken the time to leave on Amazon, and I did it out of civic obligation, in the hopes of preventing anyone else from becoming an innocent victim of this seller.

Mostly good, but the bad drags down the overall rating. Especially location options!
Why did I buy: Bought this as a Christmas gift for our home. Planned to use it at the small bar we have between our kitchen area and family room. Plus, both our icemakers went out in our refrigerator - tired of buying bags of ice and refuse to replace an otherwise good appliance. The specs checked all the boxes, including the price. The good: The build quality appears to be quite good. All functions worked properly once you decipher the instructions - hint "button lights on mean that function is on, off is...well...off." The cold water, while not near freezing, it is colder than out of the tap. Have been using gallons of drinking water so far, so the water taste is fine after cleaning the system out before use. Ice making is fast, and the "bullet" shaped cubes crunch similar to many fast food chains. The not so good: Noise. While the 5th bullet point claims, "its 48 dB operating noise won't disturb", either mine is running louder than it is supposed to, or the claim is referring only to when it is not making ice and cooling the water at the same time. I don't think it is above 80db, but it is definitely louder than either our dishwasher or fridge. Video with audio attached. Jury still out on how well it keeps ice after being made. Was quite wet when filling a small bucket. Bottom line: Had to move it to my wife's office and keep the door shut to not be offensive throughout our kitchen and FM. Plus the dog freaks out every time the ice drops, so turning off the ice maker at night.

Great water cooler/ice maker.
Make sure you clean it very well before starting it. It tastes like plastic for the first bit, but once it was cleaned well and I ran water through it a lot of times, it was great. The ice maker can be a bit loud so I turn it off at night and turn back on in the morning. I love that it works by manually putting in water or a water bottle.

Terrible quality for price
Water Tasted like plastic . Continously makes ice cubes . No cooled area for ice cubes .so they melt and get added to water tank? Condensation builds up on outside of machine. Making a mess on counter top. Periodically leaked internally for no reason. Returned took forever for reimbursement. Save yourself the headache do not buy

Nice
The only thing I don’t like about this cooler is when cleaning it the back does come open but very tight to get in and clean properly it doesn’t take long to make ice or heat up for hot water
