Outward Hound Nina Ottosson Dog Tornado Dog Toy Treat Puzzle, 9.8"

This product is well made, keeps my dog entertained for about 45 minutes, and is not yet easily solved by my dog after four or five uses. Though I don't put a lot of food or treats inside, it would hold much more if someone wanted to use it as a slow feeder. My dog is a 40-pound Siberian Husky/American Pit Bull mix, and she has not even been able to leave a tooth mark. The product is sturdy, well-made, and accomplishes the purpose for which it was purchased: to occupy the dog and prevent her from interrupting me during certain tasks.

My dog is a true sweetheart, but she's also a fast eater and a very aggressive chewer, so I wanted a puzzle toy that would allow her to use some of her thinking skills, along with it being sturdy enough to handle the power behind her teeth and nails. The Outward Hound Dog Tornado Treat Puzzle Dog Toy works wonderfully, providing a high Activity level and fun Playability!! Granted, although it doesn't take my dog very long to get to the treats -- I typically only place one small treat at a time in the different puzzle bins -- it still makes her have to use her smarts to get to the covered goodies. Having three layers to this puzzle makes it even greater, because the different layers rotate around without the treats just spilling out. As I mentioned before, my dog is an aggressive chewer and I caught her chewing on one of white bin covers while I was refilling the bins, so you should watch your dog the entire time they're playing with this! The puzzle can get noisy when your dog moves the layers around to get to the treats, but I expected that. The toy colors are bright and stimulating. As for the smell, I clean the empty puzzle bins, the bin tops, and all three layers of the toy after each use, because slobber is a byproduct of the play. For me, this Dog Tornado Treat Puzzle Dog Toy is far beyond a great Value for the money, because of its very low price, especially compared to some other puzzle treat toys, it’s sturdiness, and it's fun and reusability!!!

Works great for all size dogs. At the moment I am feeding our multi-poo with this. I've used it on our other dogs for treat time. Doesn't seem to be as affective for that. I've removed and do not use the white bones. Dogs think they're toys and destroy them. So a great feeding bowl.

Although our 13 week old puppy figured out the puzzle pretty quickly his first time, he loves it and it helps to keep him from eating too fast. They send suggestions to make the puzzle last longer as well as some tips and tricks I learned from a canine enrichment group I’m in to make it last longer. 1. Setting up the puzzle in the different ways suggested and then hiding the puzzle somewhere in the house is definitely a fun and enriching method for our pup. 2. Freezing some goodies in some spots in there also adds time. 3. The puzzle pick up bones are plastic and small enough to be chewed on. So as with all other dog enrichment activities I would suggest supervision while being used to keep dogs and puppies from chewing the plastic bones. Pros- Great enrichment for puppies and dogs. Using it in the right ways can make it a time consuming activity which is great if you need to clean up a messy kitchen. Durable and doesn’t slide around too much on linoleum or hardwood. Cons- I really wish it came with more of the plastic bones. You have an opportunity to put 2 bones on each level. They give you 3 in the package, adding a bone to each level is great, but having 6 of the bones would add even more time and effort. All in all, my puppy loves it and gets really excited when he sees me pull it out to set it up.

Dogs really enjoy these "puzzles". However definitely not made sturdily - designed obsolescence really so you can buy more. Our dogs aren't particularly rough but they want to get to the food or treats. They will pick up the whole think and walk away with it if you aren't paying attention. Also will chew on parts if you aren't paying attention - and the parts are not made to stand up to bring chewed on. Pretty stange that the turquoise and yellow turnstile comes with 3 white bone covers when it has slots for 12 on the trays. So just a couple additional things to figure out. Red, white and blue puzzle requires more thought on dogs part. Assume red compartment covers are supposed to be taken off by dogs - makes them prone to being destroyed from being pulled off and chewed. So fun for dogs but requires oversite if you want them to last any time. But then for these low prices we shouldn't expect some high quality durable item...

Neighbors dog is a cockapoo n loves to keep busy. The puzzle was the right toy until he figured out how to get the kibble night under the cubes. He needs the advanced puzzle. lol

Kul grej! Men som med alla Nina Ottosson-pussel är kanterna vassa. Har man en hund som jobbar snabbt och kan bli lite ivrig kan de skära sig på underkanten av varje våning.

Kann ich wirklich empfehlen! Wir haben verschiedene Strategiespiele, da unsere Hunde viel Abwechslung und Beschäftigung brauchen. Der Vorteil hier ist, kann man auch mit nassfutter füllen und so „für Futter muss erarbeitet werden „ verwenden. Sehr gute Beschäftigung, statt Futter aus dem Napf reinschlingen. Leicht zu reinigen und robust. Hund findet es toll und wir demzufolge auch. Test des Shepskys bestanden. Wird für die RE Laika auch bestellt. Update: jetzt mit gekürztem Video

Je recommande cet achat. Très sympa pour notre chiot qui a très vite compris le "jeu". Il y a plusieurs niveaux (en rajoutant les caches blancs en formes d'os).. C'est vraiment bien pour occuper notre chien pendant notre absence. Idéal aussi pour les chiens qui mangent trop vite. Le plastique est solide. Livraison en 1 jour.

Keeps our daschund entertained for about 15-20 minutes before his regular meal. Super way to activate their noses and keep them active for a shortwhile
