Females with ocassional diarrhea might be very happy to have this thing. I tried it for a case of the runs today after eating too much fruit & drinking a lot of coffee for a couple of days to cleanse myself out. This thing just came in the mail today in time to test it. I'm female and following is how I tested it. Stood over toilet in slight bending forward position with larger part to the rear and as far back as possible to get both #1 and #2. It worked perfectly for catching both while holding firmly in place. Not a drop of either spilled and I had a major case of the runs. After my test I've decided this will likely be best for women that wear dresses. Any day my stomach is growling and I have to leave house I'll take this thing along while wearing a loose fitting dress. Bring a throwaway bag for the blue part after use since it will be quite dirty on inside. Need to wrap it up and take home to wash. Side issue is it will be better to be shaven towards the back so that your hair isn't full of #2 and easier to wipe up. Don't have to, but it would make cleaning up afterwards simpler. I can't imagine using this in the car unless coordinated enough to sit in back seat facing backwards on knees. I'd only do this with windows tinted if I wasn't in a dress. Hope that helps since I know this can be a serious issue for runners, or some as they grow older and Depends aren't an option for the runs.

I wish it was a tiny bit bigger with a bit bigger funnel. Decent for men, but a bit too small for a larger woman. Good quality, durable and good for an occasional long trip or other places with no bathroom access.

Let me start with, I am female--because, when I was shopping and reading reviews, whether the urinal was female friendly was my first question. :) I had back surgery years ago and was given a similar device to use while I was in the hospital so I wouldn't have to struggle onto a bed pan or get out of bed and stand up. I was able to sit on the edge of the bed and...well, you know. It was a Godsend. Many moons later and I'm [mostly] well enough to go camping [with a mattress and lots of padding--lol] but I am too old to go tromping around in the woods several times a night [a sad side effect of kidney disease]. I've got a camping trip coming up and the idea of using Tupperware or a bucket in my small tent seemed distasteful so I'm glad I found this. I'm assuming it will work the same way it did in the hospital--with adjustments for the tent. However, before I went into the wild, I did test it at home in the shower. You may want to experiment with the angle that works best for you but I turned the funnel around the opposite way as shown in the picture and it worked WONDERFULLY. No drips, no runs, no errors. Compared to similar items, I liked that it had a flat bottom so I could put it down while I...um, wrapped things up. My plan is to close the lid and keep it and the funnel in a plastic bag when not in use. [And empty it in the appropriate place in the morning.] It is made of what appears to be medical-grade plastic and should clean well with hot soapy water. I filled it with water and closed the lid and, indeed, when you turn it on its side, liquid will leak out around the lid. So, if you plan to toss it around when it's got something in it, keep looking. But it will work for me. [If it doesn't, I'll report back.] I just want to add that one reviewer commented on the "weird" number markings on the side. Obviously, she has never been unfortunate enough to have to have her "input and output" measured. If this is being used for a bedridden person with medical issues, those numbers can be very helpful. And now, into the wood!!

My previous one (which I loved) broke, so I bought this. Its problem is the roundness of the back of the blue part. It needs to fit somewhat between the cheeks (tmi?), so a narrower (pointier) end, like my previous one had, would be much better.

I have three children under the age of 6, so I purchased a small potty to keep in the car for emergency potty breaks on long drives. That potty has been ok, but it takes time to get it out, assemble the seat, and install a liner to use it. Most of the time, the kids are in far too much of a hurry and sometimes there are pee accidents. We tried using this product, which the kids call the "pee bottle". This is a far superior product for urine. First, it's a much faster setup, allowing me to catch those "emergency" moments before they become a bigger issue. Second, it's smaller, which allows me to pack it into a bag when we're out. I've had the kids use it in parking lots and even standing inside the car. It's easy to use. It seals tightly, so it gives me time to find a reasonable place to empty it. It's much cleaner and less hassle that sitting a toddler on a public restroom seat that is adult-sized and filthy. This little bottle is one of my new dad superpowers.

My husband had been immobile due to several operations this past year and fiercely independent. Having a urinal allowed for him to keep some independence during the night or if I had to run a errand,& it these small things kept us sane. Durable plastic containers with a wide mouth to hold two small or one big different trips to the bathroom. I would give them a quick daily rise after emptying with few sqirts of baby shampoo to make sure there's no lingering oders and allow it to thoroughly dry, without the lid & (because we bought 2) alternate using them. These were used daily for nearly a full year and we never had a problem with the lids not closing or have any problems w odor, that terrible smell of old urine. I could see how accidentally kicking one or setting it down wrong could be a problem but somehow in the way this is shaped so if a accident happened then it's harder to topple over and if it does the lid fits securely to prevent leakage. This product worked and we would purchase again.

This is too small to last through one night of peeing. The adapter doesn’t fit on or stay on unless you wiggle the seal ring, then have to push super hard to get it on and stay on. The flip top cap, also doesn’t stay on. It does not even seal all the way! If it’s knocked on its side in your car while camping, get ready to clean pee up at 2am! Even with the female adapter on, it’s very hard to aim inside - definitely can’t try this if intoxicated or in a sleepy daze. After you use it, the adapter has to come off to close the cap. No where to put it or store it on the container. Just have to lay it on the floor with pee on it. Yay! This would only help in a dire emergency, if whatever else you used wasn’t available. But why would you keep something that is so ineffective and awkward laying around . Even worse is it’s IMPOSSIBLE to clean. The opening is so narrow not even a small bottle brush will clean the mildew that it builds up over night. Never used a container than mildewed soo quickly. But get this, when you file a return, they actually make you to mail it back to them for a refund!!!! Does anyone want to actually restock this item used? It was embarrassing dropping it off at the ups store. I now use an empty protein powder container. Way easier in all ways.

Easy to use and clean. Although when using in the dark (camping) make sure to keep the funnel oriented in the correct direction.😁
