Excellent Fitting
Exactly as described and good value. Perfect for adding a dust hose connection to machines that don't have one or two pieces could be bolted (or glued if you want it permanent) together for coupling hoses.. Don't know why "NULL" appears in the description, doesn't have any bearing on the product.

Good adapter
I’m using this on a couple tools and using a hose adapter to connect the dust collector, works great. No problem with hose falling off.

Ideal for adding a dust port
This is the ideal connector for adding a dust collection port where you need one. After several years of "just ok" dust collection on my cabinet saw, I decided to try adding a second dust port. As with most saws that don't have a dust collection shroud around the blade, my General saw has it's dust collection port at the base of an inclined plate at the bottom of the cabinet. It pulls a lot of dust, but there's a lot that builds up inside the cabinet, especially in the door that extends out around the motor. It doesn't take long before dust builds up on the cradle which has to be cleaned regularly to keep the blade raising & tilting mechanisms working smoothly. I thought it might be interesting to see if a second port located in the door might make the dust collection a little more effective by maybe pulling some dust before it has a chance to settle.I picked up a Dewalt bi-metal hole saw (also here from Amazon), bored a hole in the door and added this port. My dust collector has a 6" port on the fan housing that is stepped down to a couple of 4" ports, so I decided to run two lines to the saw rather than "Y" them into a single 4" line. I roll my dust collector from tool to tool and use a flex hose, so an additional short length of hose was no problem. Adding this port made a pretty significant improvement! I can now go at least three or four times as long between mechanism cleaning, and much less sawdust builds up inside the cabinet. It does take an extra 10 seconds or so to connect two hoses rather than one, but that's a pretty minor inconvenience.Bottom line: the port does just what it's supposed to and fits the flex hose well. Recommended if you need one.

Expensive but worked
I find it shocking how expensive these types of units can be, it's really not a big volume of plastic! It got the job done and the fit was correct. Just hurt the pocketbook a bit.
