A weird blade,but super cool
So I'd almost give it a 5 stars, but I worry about getting cuts myself using this in a crazy self defense situation. This is supposed to be a pikal knife and the interesting blade shape is a lot of fun to mess around with in a number of grips. For the size, quality, sheath, and price this is a great knife that I'd recommend to somebody wanting to check out a pikal, to collectors,or to somebody wanting a little something unique for self defense. Woulda gave a 5 stars but if you aren't more informed or practiced the blade could bite you while you were using it in a frenzied self defense situation, but price and overall quality makes it a great buy! Great seller too!!!!!

Not at all what I was hoping for or expecting from a knife of this design.
Uh, no. Nope. So I saw this knife and thought to myself, "Oh this is perfect, it's got a relatively straight edge, I can sharpen this up with my stones and use it for fine, delicate cuts. Exactly what I'm looking for." Then it arrives and I realize that everything is all wrong. The pictures don't really give you a good idea of the bevel design and edge angle, or even the size of the knife honestly. The handle is awkward. It really is. See picture. It has these two finger grooves that just don't align well in my hand at all. It's like they intend you to just use one and then allow the other groove to dig into the meat of your hand, it's not conducive to a strong, firm grip on the blade, as you would need for anything heavy duty. Well that's fine, right? You just us this for more precise delicate cuts, right? Wrong. The blade spine is about 1/8" (3mm) thick, too thick for a more precision device in my opinion. Sure you could make up for lacking design with skill, but what makes this worse is that it's a chisel grind, single bevel edge. And you know what? On a Japanese cooking knife that would be incredible. But since they ground one side completely flat, then put a very broad bevel on the other side (think like a 30-35 degree bevel) and then on top of that the factory edge is like a 45 degree edge, the entire thing is very firmly removed from being a precise, delicate cutter and planted firmly into the utility blade category. Which is not a good fit considering the handle design and finger grooves, which are clearly intended for a more delicate usage strategy. Overall I found the execution of this knife to be disappointing. I was hoping for something I could precisely control and produce fine cuts with a sharp edge, I got something with too many conflicting design elements to be very good at either. And it bothers me a lot that the edge so so far off center due to the single bevel, chisel grind design. And just look at the pictures, look how thick the blade is and how far off center the edge is. It's just... not what I was looking for and definitely not what I thought I was ordering. I'll be returning this. If you want something that is unlike most offerings in the knife category, this is your knife. But if you want something you can put a reasonably sharp edge on that will provide a precise cutting experience, yeah I wouldn't recommend this one.

Very nice Pikal style knife
It feels deadly in hand. Handle very ergo. Nice chisel grind on blade however blade a tad bit long but I suppose thats good for extra penetration. Cant complain as their seems to be no other low priced pikal/edge in knives on amazon.

Terrible sheathe
The knife itself is great. Fits the hand decently, is a fairly large size without being ridiculous, full tang design. Sharp, and the cheapest pikal knife I could find. I liked the knife. However the sheathe it came with was so terrible that it rendered the knife a safety issue. It had practically zero retention. If you want to have another sheathe made for it or you work kydex I would certainly recommend the knife. I returned it and bought the TOPS Unzipper.

Purpose driven
Another review complained that the handle was upside down. It's not. This is a reverse edge grip knife. It's purposely designed this way. This is a clone of another far more expensive blade.

I like it.
Bigger than expected. Has a good hefty weight as well.
