Will this work with a samsung galaxy s22 ultra in an otterbox defender case?

I have an s20 with Otterbox case holds mine just fine

The suction cup itself is sticky. If I remember correctly in the instructions it tells you how to clean s/c to make sticky again. But no there is only on sticky and it is on the arm brace.

Do you really need the stability clip for the dashboard? I'm afraid it might damage the surface if I want to remove it.

NO, however it depends on exactly where you want the phone in your specific vehicle AND where you mount on the glass. I USE my clip but without the adhesive to the dash.

Will the stabalizer that sticks to the dash cause damage when removed?

No damage, if it leaves stick behind just use WD40 to remove it from the dash.
