My AI actually suggested this potting soil for some flower seeds I had just purchased. Worked like a charm. Used it for 9 different pots of seed Some of the seeds came up in only 4 days and the rest came up 2 days later. Buying more to have on hand in the Spring!

Well I have no way of testing to see if this is organic but it is a trusted brand. I'm using it for holy basil (Thai spicy Basil) stems that I had initially placed in water for root offshoot. They seem to like this soil and are prospering well. My first order was misdirected by the USPS typical for this branch of disorganization. I got the second package

This Espoma potting mix is a great option for those looking for a non-fertilized soil option.I needed a soil that wasn't Miracle-Gro as that seems like the only product sold at Home Depot. I've found Miracle-Gro to be full of mold, or bugs, in more than a few bags, so I only use Espoma at this point.This soil looks "clean", and feels as natural as soil can feel. It works great for regular house plants; all the plants that I have potted with this are doing well and looking healthy. Don't forget to have a drainage hole on your planters, otherwise your plants could easily be over-watered. This soil can also be used for terrariums. I've ordered this potting mix several times now & have always been pleased with it. My plants like it & it's reasonably priced. Another brand I ordered on Amazon a couple years ago turned out to have gnats or gnat eggs. it was a real problem for a while, as it took several months to get rid of the gnats.

I use this soil for pretty much everything: transplanting store-bought plants, rooting cuttings, and growing from seed as well. So far, I have no complaints. All my plants are alive and growing, and I don't have a particularly green thumb. The soil isn't that dense, meaning that after you first fill a planter with it, when you water, the pockets of air collapse and then you have to top off with more soil to fill in the big gaps that show up. Still, I like the quality of the soil, the fact that it's organic, and also that I've never had an incident of bugs coming from the soil (this has happened before with another organic mix I bought). I'm not an expert gardener or anything, so I can't speak for anything else, just the fact that my plants are happy, all my cuttings have rooted, and I've germinated a lot of seeds using this potting mix. I've gone through several bags now, and am going to order more in the future.

This soil has been good for our plants and they have done well after repotting EXCEPT the soil must have been full of gnat eggs as every plant we used this soil for is invested with them. I guess its not totally unbelievable as organic soils fon't have any pesticides but theve become such a horrendous issue even with all the preventative maintenance we've done that we now have to repot almost 2 dozen plants AGAIN. I wont be buying this brand again
