Okay so I have seen all of these Chinese die cast Aluminum parts all over Amazon and I decided it was time to find out if there is visual quality difference when compared to some of the machined or CNC milled parts that typically run 2 to 3 times more expensive. Overall I must say the parts visually look good. The paint is not heavy with orange peel and appears to be applied correctly. the tool marking is not too heavy either. I work with X-ray and so I imaged the samples thinking that they would be heavy with porosity (gas holes) which can cause defects later...turns out they were quite clean. I have bought many of these parts (all arriving at different times) and plan to thoroughly review all of them so stay tunedAs for these axle caps fit on the bike was spot on

Well made and nice looking at first but, second cap didn't have a good finish on one side. You can see dots all over which isn't smooth. Will keep since it's not worth the hassle to return a $12 item. Won't buy again. It's sad that companies ship product and don't care about it's appearance or have a better quality control.

First of all, I'd rate the appearance of the covers 5 stars. I bought the chrome version for my FLHTC. Harley charges $40 for their version, so these are a great value. However according the instructions, the kit is supposed to come with 2 sets of set screws, one long and one short. Mine only came with long and as a result the set screws are left hanging out of the covers which not only looks crappy, I have to be careful when cleaning them. I contacted the seller but they weren't any help. I will try to buy short ones to fix, but it'll be tricky as there is no way to know what size they are. I can only assume they are metric. So for an overall rating, I give them 3 stars. Maybe spending $40 with HD would be worth it after all...

Got these today 4/17/18, out of the box they look nice, no issues with the chrome. Test fitted them on the bike, right side used the existing set screws no issue great fit. left side needed the longer set screws, great fit, no issues, put some lock tight on them and put them on, they look great so far. 2013 Harley Street Glide. Will see how the chrome holds up, so only 4 stars for now, but first impression is a good nice looking, solid product.

Look at the actual received product's picture to see how hideous the 3 screw setup does to the covers. Why is that extra killer screw? The ID is a bit too large for the axle nuts. The tight fitting authentic HD covers only use 1 screw for security. For this set, if you hid the 2-screw side facing the ground, you are left with a screw facing up staring at you, destroying the look of a somewhat clean and beautiful piece. Too ugly in my book. Return to seller. Make them fit better and lose those extra screws and I will buy them back in a heartbeat. The one star is to bring your attention to this fine detail.

They are a nice product, however I did find the same problem as others....the right side works perfect....the left side is another story. The set screw (for some unknown reason will not secure the cover). You have to search out and buy a slightly longer set screw to get the cover to tighten. I have them on the bike and looking good now, just felt like I was the idiot cuz I couldn't get it to secure with the supplied hardware. I'm glad I wasn't the only one........otherwise, a nice little part.

I had to go to the hardware store and get a different set screw to make these work so they would not fall off. I used blue loctite on the screws the first time I put these on, when I had to get my tire removed, these came off easily and I did not reapply any loctite and I haven't lost them, also, no rust either.... yet. Value and quality for money is great.

I put these on 2012 Road King. Just getting some warm weather so i've only put about 100 miles on bike since they were insalled, but they are still on tight. I did use some blue locktite on the threads of the set screws. They are nice solid chrome pieces and look good on the bike.
