The armrest isolates a small area of the top from being muted by my arm. The area touched by the armrest is at the corner between upper bout and top: that wasn't going to vibrate anyway. Works great making this very loud acoustic guitar even louder and its dark voice even darker. The success of this armrest has prompted me to buy armrests for other guitars.Intended as a permanent mount; I, however, was unwilling to commit to so much. Therefore mounted as removable. The reason for 4*s, not 5*: the radius of the mounting relief is a little too small for where I wanted it and not adjustable. Changing the radius, however, isn't difficult.
