I was placed in the relatively common position of having to replace my long standing outdoor clothes line. After much deliberation I made my choice. A pre-stretched, plastic coated, wire job. Perfect... or so I thought. Long story short, my new pre-stretched clothes line proceeded to stretch unmercifully. I needed a solution which did not involve constantly shortening the line manually. After some Amazon searching, I came upon these. Once fitted, the item allows any slack to be quickly, and conveniently wound into the device... thus keeping the line taught. It works very well. The item is well made, weather proof so far, and durable. Ten items came in the inexpensive pack, of which I have used two so far, on separate lines. A simple solution, but it works. 5 stars.

Not used very often but when you need them these fit the bill. Well made and work very well and won't rust, what's not to like?. Good value for their usefulness.

I bought them for an allotment fence and they seem to be doing the job at the moment. Although they are simple enough to use an instruction leaflet might help. Things to consider: The spindle is a one-way tightener. It is easy enough to figure out which way you need to feed the wire but it may be worth going through it in dry dock before trying it for real. Anyone's guess the best way to anchor these. There is a hole that means they could be screwed to a post but it is quite large and would require a suitably sized bolt or washer. I chose to anchor them using electrical cable round the post. Each wire could then be put in situ and initially tightened by hand before using the tensioner mechanism to finally put some real tension in.

Excellent value, works fine, seems strong enough. Not had them long enough to see any corrosion. The only thing you can't do is de-tension the wire.

Podsumowując, produktowi jest raczej bliżej do taniej podróbki niż do porządnie zaprojektowanego i wykonanego mechanizmu. Odradzam zakup i polecam zainwestować nawet w trochę droższe, ale też lepsze napinacze.

Nice bit of kit. Really does the trick. The crank wheel is crudely cast but does the job. If you are trying to tension a fence wire this will do it for you. It won't solve all your problems but it will tension the wire.
