The product is a bit bulky but it does what it's supposed to do: provide cool air for laptop fan coolers. It comes with a power brick and cables which are made well. This will also avoid dust accumulation on the laptop as it has a built-in dust filter.

Cools the laptop down a lot and the reusable filter helps with keeping dust out.

If you're actually looking for real lower temp results this will give it to you for sure, just make sure you're using headphones because oh boy is it loud.

This cooler is amazing. I have a Lenovo Legion 7i with RTX 4070. Before buying this laptop cooler my GPU and CPU would both run approx 85-90C when using the most aggressive power profile. The cooler dropped temps by approx 20C. To be honest, I still can’t believe it. The fan rams fresh air through the intake at the bottom of my laptop. Even with the laptop off, I can feel the air flowing out the rear and side vents. The Legion 7i has a pretty phenomenal exhaust system but clearly its intake system was underpowered. It’s stopped me from suffering thermal throttling in games and I’m sure will mean my laptop lasts longer. There’s just one caveat. At max speed the fan is L O U D. It doesn’t bother me because I always game with noise cancelling Bose headphones. Also, you don’t need to run the fan at full speed anyway. I find if I run 50% my temps are about 10-15C lower and that’s fine enough for me. Highly recommend.

So my laptop (dell g5 5590)'s cpu was overheating. so i bought this after a ton of research and the research paid off! it lowered my cpu temps by 30 degrees celcius on idle and got me 5700 points on cinebench r23 i rate this a 10/10

I spent several hours researching before this purchase. There are some cooling tray reviews, comparisons and videos on the Internet but it's not easy trying to work out which cooling tray to buy. You don't know who is sponsored to promote certain products and the disparate ratings in reviews make it hard to separate the wheat from the chaff. I have had a basic 4 fan type and have been severely underwhelmed by the cooling offered but some people review it as though it keeps ice cream cold. I was after something that actually cools. After finding the IETS range I looked at the different builds and despite no reviews in the UK yet for this IETS gt500, the few US reviews seemed fairly positive. The fan power and foam seal idea was what sold it me in the end. As with any item for some people this won't do the job or they will have issues but for me it brought my cpu and gpu temp right down from mid to high 80s on graphic intensive games to mid 50s. Pros: - provided your laptop is reasonably flat and has intake on the bottom I believe this is extremely effective. - feels sturdy. - air (and therefore noise) power control. Cons - Let's face it this is more expensive than other types, but for me this expense is offset by it actually working. - The plug it comes with isn't UK (it looked like a 2 prong shaving plug). I have replaced it with an identical 12v 0.1amp UK plug (outer size 5.5mm, inner size 2.1mm). The product does include a USB lead, so I assume it can work from USB but i haven't tried it as USB is like 5v? I just figure if it's got a powerful fan plugged in is better. - it's noisy. But if your a gamer with headphones on then I don't see the issue really. But it is noisy so be warned. Caveat: the true test of its rating will be it's longevity. Given the price I expect a product that lasts. I hope it does as it would be a severe let down given how much I like it from initial use. I will ofc update this review if I run into any issues. Update: 10.08.23 Still extremely effective. Best cooling fan I've owned and helps keep the laptop intakes dust free as it has its own filter that you can clean. Still sounds like an aircraft taking off but it certainly seems to be durable and I would buy a new one instantly if mine broke.

This thing. I have used Amazon for nearly a decade and never reviewed a single item, but... This thing. It demands my review. So I bought myself an Acer Nitro 5 AN515-46 gaming laptop with cool sense tech. This laptop is serious. It can play any AAA game you can throw at it and for £1200 retail price it bloody well better, too. But it runs HOT. its capable of running Cyberpunk 2077 at 60fps at least on ultra settings, and yet, when I play SW:TOR MMO on ultra, it runs up at 90'C. I replaced the thermal paste, it came down to around 87'C. Now, as I stated, the laptop runs cool sense tech, which means the CPU and GPU each have a dedicated fan that runs up to 7000RPM. They are god god damn fans, but for the CPU specifically, the MMO was still causing the pretty crazy 87'C. I tried a couple of cooling trays and neither literally even lowered that temp by 2'. I then tried... This thing. Running the same game on the same settings doing the same flash point missions, taxing the CPU the same amount, with the IETS GT500 V1 connected, and ONLY SET TO JUST LESS THAN HALF OF ITS FULL POWER it now maxes out at 60'C. I use this cooling tray at less than half power and it drops the CPU temperature when running a CPU intensive MMO by more than 25'C. If I put the cooling tray on that strength whilst the laptop is idle or just on YouTube, it's so god damn effective that the internal cooling fans TURN THEMSELVES OFF. This WILL work. It WILL solve your laptop heat problem. I literally guarantee it. Airflow: Phenomenal. The vacuum system created by the foam pads is immaculate with 0 air escape. Every little bit of power gets blown through the laptop. Weight: Surprisingly light. 1.5kg does not feel as heavy as it sounds, or at least the cooling tray is not as heavy as it looks, because this thing is pretty big. Bigger than the laptop, even. Appearance: Sleek as hell. Jet black with red fan cover, which is hidden during use. Quality: In terms of performance 10/10 for sure. In terms of durability at least a 9/10. This thing is solidly made. Portability: Again, this thing is big, but not as heavy as you'd think. With decent size laptop carry bag or back pack this is as portable as any other cooling tray.
