Son loved the idea of this; but complete waste of money. Didn’t expect much but was hoping it would make it to school at least for prank on his friends. Cheap plastic, poorly made, bottom of pen plastic fell apart and came out. Weak shock (as expected) and good for a few initial laughs to see his face; but made it to trash within 5 minutes of opening package. One positive side- taught my son lesson ‘you get what you pay for from China’ and ‘life isn’t always what it seems’ get ready for disappointments son; and don’t let it bother you. That’s life. Would I buy again: never. Would I recommend? Only if you’re OK with 3 minutes of joy; followed by a valuable life lesson to loved ones.

I've had gag's like this before and while not a really solid construction, lasted long enough to get plenty of laughs. I'll admit I didn't read the whole description of this, but if I had, I would have been even more disappointed. Package came, I opened it with a smile (imagining who I would get first) and when I tested it, ....nothing. So I thought maybe I need to put a battery in, although it looked too small for even a AAA. I was correct. So I pulled up the listing again, read it and found out that it comes WITH battery. I then opened the 2nd one, and that one gives just the slightest "tingle" but if your not looking for it, you wouldn't notice it. Maybe one of the other 100 listings for this item will have one that works. Who knows.

These pens don't work. My son bough them for a gag gift but there is no shock when you press on the top. None at all. Huge bummer for him.

Does not shock! feels more like a faint rub or movement of some VERY small degree, if that….My kids already destroyed the packaging, so can’t return. (That’s my fault)

Items arrived with dead batteries and can’t be changed! Big ordeal to return also!
