Shiny coat, jumping up high again
Bought on recommendation from my vet for my senior cat. Within a few weeks, her coat was super glossy (more than I’ve ever seen it), and she was back to jumping up on counters (which she hasn’t been able to do for about 6 months). Shocked that it’s worked so well. Only downside is that the bottle leaks and the oil has stained it on the outside. Doesn’t look good at all, but effective.

About what I expected
Exactly as described. While the scoop that comes with the bottle is difficult to keep clean (since it IS oil), but it is useful for measuring. My cats don't mind it at all when I put it right on top of their regular kibble, and they just gobble it up! Their skin and coats really improved after about a month of regular use.

Go easy at first...
My cat has a tender tummy so I had to back down to a half dose after a few days of full dose. He has done well, and I notice his coat is somewhat better, and he sleeps better.

Easy to use, improved joint health
Purchased for our 2 elderly cats who we’ve witness some joint discomfort/pain. Within a couple weeks, we did see improvement in our eldest’s ability to jump, which was awesome! It must not taste bad as they both eat it up. Decent price for the quality. My only complaint is that the spout leaks/drips down the side of the bottle, so it does get messy.

Amazing product!
I love Welactin, and what it did for the health of my cats. I first tried this on recommendation from my vet. The directions mention to put a small (measuring spoon included) amount on your cats food daily (see doses for cats size). Despite the “fish” taste, my cats didn’t like it on their food, so I just syringe the dose into their mouths daily. In as little as a month, all of my cats showed amazing results. My senior cat was more active, while my 2-year olds seemed to have a healthy air about them. The Most noticeable result in all my cats is how the Welactin improved their coat. All 3 of my girls have beautiful, soft, amazing fur. My Ragdoll now has a fluffy, pillow-like coat that tangles less than before Welactin, my medium haired black cat now has a shiny, flawless coat that feels like silk, while my alley cat’s once wirery and coarse coat is now kitten soft with a healthy gloss. Now, my girls line up daily to get their dose, before breakfast. The only warning I would give is that the oil stains anything it is left on (I literally peeled the paint off my wall trying to clean a spill left by friend who was watching our cats while on vacation), but have since discovered Lysol Max Foamer Bathroom Cleaner (another 5* review) which takes it off of all hard surfaces I’ve tried with very little effort. Truly, Welactin is AMAZING!

Buyers beware
The product itself works great. I’ve been using for a while, and notice a difference in my cats coat being more shiny and less flaky. Also no issues of throwing up. Normally I order on chewy and have no issues, but I needed a refill faster than chewy could deliver and decided to try Amazon. You would think after they changed the way the bottle dispenses, they would at least put a seal or something on it. I guess not, my order came completely soaked through the box. Checked to see if there’s a way to get the order replaced and there are no available options besides leave a review. Product works great, just recommend either ordering through chewy or transferring the fish oil to a different container if you manage to get one.

Do not recommend this product
Will need to find another avenue to supply Omega 3 for our cats. Wasted several bowls of wet food when they detected this topping/mixed in supplement. Also, the flip top opening allowed the oil to easily dribble down the sides. Into the trash it went.

Strong smell/taste, but cat accepts it when mixed in with her food
Every cat is going to have different taste preferences, but I will say that my cat, who isn't a huge fish fan, is so far not showing any distaste for this supplement (which is kind of fishy smelling/tasting). I use this in a specialized recipe I make for my cat, and added it slowly to her diet to get her used to the taste. I actually completely changed her diet, so all the ingredients I added in were new, but so far she is continuing to eat it happily. She is fully on her new diet, complete with the maximum amount of welactin oil, and I'm not seeing any signs of disapproval on her part. And to risk sounding like a crazy person, I tried a small tasting of her new recipe and from what I can tell by comparing the smells of the ingredients to the way the food tastes, the welactin oil seems to be the strongest tasting ingredient (this is when mixed in with venison meat, tapioca, powder supplements, and corn oil - blended up into a lovely froth.... cat has no teeth). A bit surprising that the welactin oil overpowered all the other tastes, but worth mentioning because I do believe it is strong.
