I have 2 Coton's and just thought they were easy to groom but that was the illusion of a puppy coat. They went off to obedience training for one month and holy smokes... tangles & mats! My little female just turned 6 months old and now her coat is beyond a challenge. This product is a life saver!!! I was forced to cut out a few of the mats but this made brushing out the tangles much less traumatic! Now I can spray it on and the comb or brush glides, yes glides, through her coat. Also, just wanted to give heads up... if sprayed on heavily it occasionally will feel a little tacky but once completely dry the coat will feel very soft. Note: a little goes a long way; lightly spray small sections and completely comb (i did not find it work as well when sprayed all over). The scent is hard to describe. It is what I would consider a slightly herbal scent. It is very light and can be detected the next day before reapplying for daily brushing. If your looking for a doggy cologne or heavy scent.. this is not it! This is a lighter more sophisticated scent! Sprayer NOT Working... here's the TRICK! Just above where the sprayer attaches to the bottle, there is a locking mechanism. One side the spraying neck will be flush and the other slightly sticking out. Press the side sticking out (you will hear a click) and the opposite side will pop out. This is the open position and you can now spray!

We have a Weimaraner, which is a short-haired dog. Weimaraners often have skin allergies, so I was a little hesitant to buy this spray, but I took a chance on it because after bathing, Weims get dry skin if you don't condition properly. I'm happy to report the Isle of Dogs spray does not cause any allergies, and it provides just the right amount of conditioning oil. After a bath, when her coat is still damp, I mist her neck, her mid back and her rear back, then rub it in going back and forth against the grain of the fur. I then use a coarse brush to finish it off. The mist doesn't leave any kind of visibile or touchable residue, but it gives her proper conditioning that prevents dry and flaky skin. The Evening Primrose scent is very pleasant and not overpowering. In fact, we use it to freshen her coat in between baths. Even though the scent is subtle, it's definitely a feminine scent, so I personally wouldn't use it on a male dog.

The price is high but the product is incredible! The main reason I purchased it was for when my dog gets flaky skin during very dry days and it works excellently for that while also giving her coat a spectacular sheen and an incredible scent. My girlfriend said she wished she had a product for herself with this smell. Again, the price is high, but if you use it sparingly it’ll last a very long time and the quality of it is undeniable.

Well... after reading all the reviews on this product I had to try it. Im a groomer and I read this smells so heavenly and so good for your dog. I got it. I'm actually not crazy about the smell. It smells good... but not heavenly (to me anyway). Kinda Floral/Perfumy. Feminine. I spray it on boys too, anyway. It does help with the dry skin if it isnt severly dry.

I have been using this for years on my Corgi. It is absolutely wonderful - it keeps the coat shiny, moisturized and the dog smells heavenly (even when wet!). My only advice would be to not overdo it (at first I was thoroughly spraying my dog with it every day) - that leads to product buildup which is okay if you have a breed that you shampoo often, but not so okay when you have a double coated Corgi who only sees shampoo 4-5 times a year. I liked the spray so much that I even gave the Isle of Dogs Coature No. 10 Evening Primrose Oil Dog Shampoo for Dry and Sensitive Skin, 8.4- Ounces and Isle of Dogs Coature No. 50 Light Management Dog Conditioner for Dry Hair, 8.4 oz. a try, but wasn't impressed. So now I'm sticking to the Les Poochs shampoos and conditioners and the IOD #62 as my dog grooming combo.

Smells great and conditions well! I’ve been using No 62 for about 12 years.

Part of the spray tip itself broke off (yes it was switched 'on) while using it! Now it doesn't spray but just drips. The smell is fine if a bit strong to me but the dog really hated it and would try to avoid getting it applied.

My poodles coat is so soft! It is easy to manage, just a few strokes of a slicker brush and we're done. The scent is a bit musky for me but hey ...it's for my baby boy!
