XterraFitness Indoor Cycle Trainer Bike

UPDATED REVIEW: Very solid. The thing weighs in at 105 pounds! The "computer" on mine doesn't work at all, other than as a clock. I sent an email to the company, and was contacted by their customer service ace, Daniel, who is getting a new "computer" on the way to me. I know that customer service simply doesn't exist for some companies, so this is pretty inspiring to find a company that cares. Daniel called me again this morning to let me know he personally checked the new unit before sending it out, offered me an extended warranty free of charge, and asked me to contact him personally if there if any problem with the new "computer". So.....5 stars, before I even get the new computer installed on the bike. If you want a very smooth, solid, and silent bike, this one could be your ticket. It's quite a bonus to know that a company will stand behind their products, and concern themselves with a customer's satisfaction. 5 stars.

I bought this bike to replace another spin bike I had purchased on Amazon and returned. I love that this bike has the quietness and low maintenance of a belt drive, but that it also comes with the felt pad resistance system, which allows me to better control how much tension I want and make my workouts tougher when compared to the magenetic resistance system of the previous bike I purchased.The first bike I received had been completely beat up by FedEx. The frame was bent and pieces were broken. Because this bike is sold by a amazon, it took me two minutes to process a replacement order and obtain free return shipping, and my new bike arrived within the next week. The new bike was in pristine condition. It took me about an hour to set up: 20 minutes to get the box up my stairs (it’s 121 pounds, so this was no easy task), 20 minutes to unpack everything, and about 30 minutes to assemble. The bike is very quiet and smooth. The vertical/horizontal adjustable seat and handle bars allows for good riding posture. The seat is hard and uncomfortable, but that is standard on even the most expensive of spin bikes (give it about two weeks and the saddle-sore feeling will fade). The tension can be cranked WAY up, just how I like it. Overall, this feels like a great, sturdy bike.My only complaints: 1) The LCD monitor feels cheap. The instructions are in poorly written English. I wonder how accurate it truly is. I also cannot get the monitor to attach and stay on the handle bars.2) The small feet that it sits on elevate the bike too far off the floor. I was able to remedy this by removing one of the two nuts from eat foot and reattaching the feet. I may go back and remove the second nut.I will update this review as issues arise or after about 6 months of use.UPDATE: I’ve not owned this bike for almost a year, and I still really like it, but I’ve now got five complaints at this time, and I have lowered my review to a 3 star. 1) The handle bars are situated very low, even when raised to the highest setting possible, making for a sometimes uncomfortable posture. 2) The seat is narrow and very uncomfortable. I ended up having to purchase a new one because I couldn’t stand being saddle sore anymore. 3) The LCD display I got with the bike initially never worked (functioned only as a clock, would not read speed or distance, see initial complaints ), so I contacted the company and had a new one shipped to me. That one worked for about 3 days, then suddenly stopped working like the first one. It appears to be a very cheaply made device, and I’m worried a third one will also break. The instructions are in broken English, which to me says it is a poorly manufactured product. I will say that they have great customer service! Which is awesome. 4) The water bottle holder is very small and doesn’t accommodate the larger bottles I have. 5) I wish there were somewhere I could rest my phone, as I use to to listen to music while I exercise.

This is very sturdy, quiet, and pedals very smoothly. The 48.5 lb wheel makes for excellent feel.One thing to note though if you are tall, I am 6' 3" and with the seat fully up my legs are still not able to extend properly. The handlebars could go higher, but this is not as much of an issue. I am extremely happy with the value and build of this purchase. I just wish it went higher for my length. My guess would be that for anyone 6' 1" or under it would be fine, just a guess. I would return it due to limited height, but this would be problematic, so will probably give away at some point and use mostly for standing riding, which is fine. Again if you are not really tall this would be amazing, fantastic build and quality for the money, and a good clean look too!

Has adjustable seat forward backward and up and down. Same for handlebars. Customer service is immediately available by phone. Very sturdy, no squeaks, solid performance! Beautiful styling and materials. Plan on a few hours for assembly though. Husband took care of it without a problem. I include the carton photo so you can see what to expect on your doorstep. I don't use the computer for which others have said it does not work well. Company when I called was easy to reach and a real person! They did send me a new computer for mine right away.

Researched and rode a lot of spin bikes before making this purchase. I was very close to purchasing a bike that was twice as expensive, but glad I didn’t. This bike is very sturdy and smooth...easy to set up and rides just as nice as any other that I’ve tried. I am having some issues with the cycle computer...and will follow up with another review once that’s figured out. A 5 star purchase nonetheless.Update: Rec’d a new cycle computer after contacting the manufacturer... easy to replace and working fine. Manufacturer was responsive and easy to work with.

I purchased this based on reviews online as well as the advice of a friend who advised me that the company was made by the same company who makes spirit fitness equipment. It was easy to assemble and very smooth. However, the computer didn't work, as well as a slight rubbing noise. It doesn't affect the operation and am still using it. I called the number tech support number provided with the instruction booklet and was floored when someone actually answered the phone. Then, he listened to my issue and sent me parts by mail. I received a txt from their tech who is scheduled to come tomorrow. I will update this when it is all said and done but as for now, I felt compelled to write this review because Im so glad I saved money by purchasing this bike. I felt no difference between this bike and the 900.00 bike at the store.
