The absolute best
I used to buy my hay from a local pet store, but it was always sitting in the sun. It was dusty, and sometimes they had mites. I switched over to Oxbow and it has been amazing. It’s never dusty, it’s always very fresh, very green, and MY BUNNY 🥰 absolutely loves it!

Great alfalfa hay very clean
I got this alfalfa hay for what I thought was a pregnant chinchilla, but ended up finding out that she was just fat! This is a great high-quality hay that my chinchillas love, but I will be switching them out to Timothy hay because that is better nutritionally for them . The alfalfa hay does smell very good. There was no mold present and it was very dry. Just like it should be. It was shipped in its own box and labeled properly and I think is great value for the money. It was a nice green color and you got a lot of hay for the price.

Uh it's oxbow!
It's definitely dusty but I love oxbow products for my rabbit or roach chow for the reptile feeders . Great reliable brand. Should not be fed often to rabbits over 6 months . Which to Timothy hay.

Good product for a decent price.
Really good alfalfa. Came packed up well. Hay was green but dried out properly. It's compressed a little, but you have to expect that with bulk hay. The most important part: All 8 rabbits love it. (6 babies and 2 adults. The adults get it as an occasional snack.) I don't think we're going to need more, but if we ever do need more bulk alfalfa, I'll be buying this. Edit: Was bummed out to see this has almost doubled in price 2 months after I bought it. I'm not going to dock it a star because it IS really good and I did get my original bag for $25. When I saw the price jump, I tried with another brand (Thunder Acres) and it was some of the worst hay I've ever seen in my life. Feel free to look up the review and pics (Premium Alfalfa Hay 5 lbs). The $40 price tag on this may be worth avoiding the hassle of finding another really good alfalfa. I just wish it had stayed at the same price as the first bag I bought. :-/ Attached picture shows the oxbow alfalfa on the left and the Thunder Acres alfalfa (sticks?) that just came on the right. The oxbow alfalfa is still green and looks normal 2 months after buying it. The right side brown sticks...that's the new bag of PREMIUM Thunder Acres alfalfa that I just got yesterday (and promptly returned today).

8/19/24 update
Got this for my baby bunnies and they are still under one year. They love it almost like crack so I do try to limit it 😅 but it is definitely nutritious. I did start to mix with general Timothy hay like third cut or the usual so they can slowly adjust but yes they know which is alfalfa. Vet did say they are considered sweet and high in sugar which would be good for babies but as rabbits need to be cautious with sugar foods, I did include their diet with non alfalfa. But overall it does what it needs and it's always great quality from oxbow. Plenty of hay stalks but we did have more small cut mulch like hay which our baby bunnies did like as well so you get different textures!

Vet recommended but quality can vary
Highly recommended by my vet. I cover the bottom of my bunny’s cage with it and she loves it. My only qualm is that the quality can vary depending on the time of year, but it’s not bad enough to take a star off.

horrible
I couldn't use hardly any of this hay, it was like twigs dry and hard only. soooo dissappointed . I have had some that was ok in the past, but this one was useless and expensive.

Quality has changed
My initial purchase was truly excellent, characterized by its delightful aroma, freshness, precise cut, and natural green hue. However, if I am able to locate an alternative, I will consider purchasing it. The current product is dry, has rough stems, and contains dust. I am uncertain as to why this is the case, especially since the price is not inexpensive.

Great amount of hay and cheaper than the one in pet store
Since I got my two bunnies and they need to be feed hay unlimited, the hay I got from the pet store from Oxbow keep run out of stock, and it pretty costly everytime I refill it. Therefore this size give me an easier way to maintain my wallet and still keep my bunny healthy, quality are good and just the same as the small size (even better since a lot of the small size bag I found it mostly contain small and broken hay)

Safest buy but overpriced
The item arrived well sealed and smells pleasant. It's not colored and appears to be of good quality. My rabbits enjoy the leaf meanwhile my guinea pigs enjoy the stalk. If a pet refuses to eat a particular part of the item, such as the stalk, it can be cut into smaller pieces, which they often find more palatable. It tastes enjoyable to me.
