Hario Olive Wood Coffee and Tea Press, 300ml

I like how sleek this looks compared to most french presses. It looks good and works fine. Yes it looks fragile and I only hand wash it but that's the downside to something made of glass. I knocked off one star because the mesh filter has creases in the sides that let grounds through sometimes.

Hand made in Japan, not the plastic trash usually sold. Very satisfied with it. The large 600 ml is enough for 2-3 cups. The mesh is very fine and does a great job of filtering.Glass should be warmed up a bit before pouring hot liquid to prevent thermal shock (glass cracking). I usually just pour in regular hot tap water, or cold tap water and add in boiled water.

The coffee/tea maker is the best available on market.I had all kinds of french press styles for a decade, and this one came as a nice surprise: hand made glass that is definitely on a thicker side comparing to traditional ones of that size. Unfortunately, my first unit arrived cracked but it’s definitely due to simple cardboard packing rather than the glass quality (I would suggest the seller to include more padding protection). The metal press seem standard and great quality too! I am getting more of them, as the glass beaker is useful on its own. The solid wood is well protected from moisture, which was my main concern before buying, but not anymore. What a lucky find overall. Now add a modern clean minimalistic design to it and you will find yourself buying both a quality press and an art piece for your kitchen.

Beautiful....love it but I wish it was insulated double glass to keep it hot longer.

So, I love this press and was so excited to receive and use it. The I purchased a second one. On both pots the wood lid has warped in the exact same way. Still usable but not happy about paying extra for a press pot I really appreciated the aesthetics of and materials, and now it's warped!

Used for a coffee press but the screen has four grooves on the edge that lets full sized coffee grounds through. Some silt is expected from a coffee press but coffee grounds shouldn't be making it into the cup. Looks nice as a decoration though, and I'm sure it might be okay for loose leaf tea.

Terrible quality of glass which is incredibly fragile and prone to breakage very easily (even despite careful use)First time I ordered this item it arrived smashed in the box.Second item lasted two used before it smashed as I was carefully cleaning it in the sink and accidentally knocked it off the tap.Such a shame as love the design of this press.Cannot fault Amazon customer service during this experience though. Very good service.

Bought this for my son for Xmas, he's very happy with it. Make sure you get the 600ml, the 300ml version is only for one cup

the small bolt at the end has fallen out within a couple of months of using it and it is now rendered useless!

Que hay mucha gente que protesta porque se ha roto el cristal, sin entender que hasta el mejor cristal se rompe si no tienes cuidado.

Tentei comprar por duas vezes, mas nas duas o vidro veio rachado.
