Great cover
I just purchased an electric bike here in florida where we spend 7 months a year. The remaining months are spent in New England. I need a cover to protect the three day trek back to New England. I purchased the cover but didn’t get a chance to try it out until last week. I put in on the bike being supported on my hitch of my Jeep. The cover went on pretty easily and I could get it pretty tight. I used the eye hooks with straps to pull them tight. Since I lock the bike to the hitch with a heavy duty kryptonite lock I used the eye hooks to further tighten the cover on the bike. I was traveling up I75 from the Naples area to Ocala, florida approximately 4 hours. I generally travel around 70-78 or so on this highway and was surprised to see it handle the speed. I noticed the wind travels over the car and pushes the cover tightly to the bike. I checked it in the side mirrors and it looked fine. Unfortunately one of the negatives is you cannot see out the rear view mirror. I’m not sure how this issue could ever be resolved but with side view mirrors it was sufficient. I checked it when we arrived after 4 hours of highway driving around 75 mph and was pleased to see the material didn’t fray nor did it look any worse for wear. I suspect that it would make the 3 day trip up north without any problems. As for the company, I would also give it high marks for customer service. I originally bought the two bike version thinking the bulkier ebike might need more room. It was way too big. I called them and explained the situation and they sent me a single at no charge. This single one is what I used on my trip.

Great protection for bikes on the back of our camper van
We use these to cover our bikes on the back of our Ford Transit-based camper van. The fabric is thick and they seem well made. They work well in camp, and also work fine while traveling. They keep the bikes dry and dust-free. The only reason for dropping 1 star is that you need to be careful that the string in the center that tightens things up does not touch the fabric. If it does, cavitation in the wind will rub a hole in the fabric. That happened to us at first, by we sewed a patch over then and avoid positioning them that way. Update: I used them on the back of our Highlander for a trip and their results weren't as good. One of the drawstrings for the middle tore off, and the pedal put a hole in the cover. Also, there was lots of black rubber dust, I am guessing from the waterproofing inside the cover, on the bikes. I believe this is because the Highlander did not provide the same shielding from wind of the bikes and cover as the Transit does. We also went through some heavy rain on that trip, which was about 350 miles. In any event, in the future I think I will stick to using it on the transit. I am hoping that the damage is covered by Obsidian's warranty.

Great quality
I have purchased a few of these since we use them to travel cross country with on the back of our camper. Some of their covers are thicker than others which is why I opted for this one. I can tell you with certainty these are very high quality way beyond their price point. We've had $200 covers that didn't even compare to this. This is one of the best deals out there. There are several tension tie points throughout the cover that you can synch up to tighten which is very convenient, along with 2 bottom snap straps and reinforced metal rings for more securing points. This cover easily fits over 2 ebikes that go on my bike rack in opposite directions which is challenging for other covers bc most are made to have the bikes handle bars facing the same way. Since this is oversized it has no problem slipping over the opposing handle bar positions. Over time after a lot of use the pull tie plastic locking clips can lose their tension but that is to be expected. Word of advice: I took my hitch off my camper installing it on the back of my truck for the first time therefore the cover was fully exposed to highway winds without the shielding of a camper causing the cover to severely flap in the wind rubbing up against the handle bars etc and ripping from the force. This is not the covers inadequacy rather user installation. I should have covered over any protruding objects w/something soft like a cut pool noodle taped to the end of the handle bars/foot pedals etc to protect ripping. In addition I would install a bungee net over the cover to hold it tighter and lesson the wind flap. Any cover that is violently flapping in the wind against the bike is going to rip so limiting the wind lift of the over will prevent this.

They honor their warranty
Bought the 3- bike heavy-duty cover last July. Worked well throughout the winter, kept our e-bikes protected and dry. Last week we had a massive thunderstorm come through, and the next morning I noticed a small L-shaped tear in the fabric at a stress point. I contacted Team Obsidian through Amazon, they asked me to send photos of the tear, which I did. On Monday morning when they were back in the office, Team Obsidian issued a full refund. It was just that easy! Using the refund to purchase another identical cover. When you find a seller that stands by their products, you stick with them. Thanks for being a stand-up company, Team Obsidian. It's quite refreshing with so many bad actors out there.

Self Destruction in only 19 Travel Days
INITIAL 2-STAR REVIEW - I purchased the XL Team Obsidian bike cover to protect our two 29er eMTBs while traveling in a Sprinter Van for extended periods. During our last four-month trip, I had to replace both chains due to rust and clean rust off the brake rotors and other steel parts. First of all, the bike cover seems well-constructed and weatherproof, which is a positive. It also comes with a stuff sack, which makes it easy to store in the van. However, there are some downsides. Modern MTBs have longer wheelbases now, and it appears that this bike cover hasn't kept up with those changes. Despite nestling the bikes close to each other and aligning the wheels, the cover doesn't fit from end to end. I was only able to get the cover into place by deflating two of the wheels. Even when the cover is pulled all the way down, there are sections of loose-fitting material that may flap in the wind. You can see this in the pictures. I'm still somewhat worried about road grime and water getting to the bikes from underneath. I wish the cover had a flap that could be strapped underneath to provide further protection. These are my first impressions, and I'll be testing the cover over the next two months as we travel through the Western US states. With practice, I may get better at installing it, and we may find that the cover provides sufficient protection despite the open bottom. If that's the case, I'll update this review. However, for now, I can only say that I'm not overly impressed with this cover. UPDATE - I'm downgrading my rating from 2-stars to 1-star after this bike cover has completely self destructed in less than three weeks on the road. On day 1 of our two month trip, the webbing that buckles under the bike rack tore off the cover. By day 4, I had to patch multiple tears in the fabric using Gorilla tape. The tears were in places that came in contact with deraillers, pedals, and other parts. By day 14 we had 2 handlebar ends poking through the seams (see third picture). And today, day 19, we got to our campsite to discover the whole side seam totem wide open (4th Pic). Tomorrow, this bike cover goes in the trash. We still have six weeks of travel ahead of us. I cannot recommend this cover for any serious travel. In our 19 days of this trip we have actually only driven about 12 of those days. The cover is not well constructed to fit snuggly and therefore beats itself to death in the winds of the road. UPDATE #2: After returning from my two-month road trip, I contacted TeamObsidian customer service to request a warranty replacement of this cover. The product description above clearly states, " 2-Year Warranty: Our commitment is to meet your expectations and offer free repairs or replacements for any problems with your cycle protector. Trust us for a hassle-free experience with your bike cover." Unfortunately TeamObsidian will not stand by their own warranty and sent the following reply, "We are sorry to inform you that this order is not a direct purchase from Team Obsidian. Unfortunately, we are unable to assist and grant the warranty. You will need to contact Amazon directly if you have any issues. The cover always comes with a two-year warranty and therefore they will need to assist you if anything happen within that time frame. We are sorry that we cannot be more helpful at this time." I have contacted Amazon customer service at [email protected] but have yet to receive a response. Meanwhile, I stand by my 1-star review and am very unimpressed by TeamObsidian's product support. As a side note - I did order a Formosa 2-bike cover (https://a.co/d/03bezPnf) to finish my road trip as well as this 4x6 Cargo Net (https://a.co/d/083fZOye) and am very impressed with that combination to secure and protect my very expensive mountain bikes on the back of the van. I've included a picture of that successful cover in case you're still reading my long diatribe.

Good basic cover.....IF you do it right
After reviewing lots of covers and reading the reviews, I came to the conclusion that every cover will rip if you don't prepare for it. 60mph winds will tear any cover. I was not going to buy a $60 cover just to have it get shredded. So, I went with the $20 one and set it up so it would not be flapping in the wind and tear. There is NO WAY this cover would make the 1,000 mile run from Florida to Michigan the way it came. It would be flapping around all the way and destroy itself. Here is what I did: Loosened up the handlebars and slid it down so the grips were not sticking up Removed both peddles - 15MM wrench These changes gave the cover a much smoother profile without anything sticking out Bought a $16 4'x8'cargo net to stretch over the entire bike cover Notice in the pictures, there are no handlebars or peddles sticking out to rip the cover. The entire surface is much smoother and secured with the cargo net. Made the 1,000-mile ride to Michigan with no issues. It did not rain so I can't vouch for how waterproof it is.

So far, so good (evaluated and THE BEST)
So far, so good. This review will be updated to show the results of the trip and the performance of the product; Initial review; item was received on-time and well packaged. We have 2 Aipas E-bikes that we put on a Thule bike rack on the back of my tow vehicle. The cover feels sturdy and the cargo net we purchased with this was easy to handle. We chose the carabiners to attaché the netting, however, the straps and various drawstrings seem to do a really good job. We will travel over 1000 miles and they are calling for storms and rain. I will update the status of the cover as we go. Total time to install was 20 minutes with 2 people. Update: 400 plus miles later with intermittent rain showers, the cover, bikes and cargo net look like it did when we started! So far; A+++. More to come tomorrow. Ok! After 2000 miles and countless thunderstorms and windy conditions, we are back and I can unequivocally say that this cover (when used with the cargo net) exceeds ALL of my expectations! I have no idea how long it will last, but right now it looks like the day I bought it! FINALLY a product that lives up to (exceeds) its claims!

Good value. Quality cover with limits
Quality cover. Rubber coated on the inside and pretty thi k although I think it would be pushing its limits covering a bike going down the interstate in the back of a pickup truck or on the back of an RV. Good value for the money at $20.

Passar bäst till cykel hållare på kula
Som sagt denna skall användas på cykel hållare monterad på dragkrok då den dras ihop på botten. Beställde en XL för 2 cyklar, är för liten för 2 el cyklar så jag sände denna i retur.

Excellent cover
Covered 2 mountain bikes on the back of an RV and showed no signs of balooning or damage in 1000kms trip. Heavy duty and worth the extra $$
