Columbia Women's PFG Tamiami II UPF 40 Long Sleeve Fishing Shirt

I've been looking far and wide to replace a long-time favorite nylon shirt in a similar color from another brand. I've literally worn the other shirt regularly for over 10 years, and it is my go-to travel and outdoor shirt. I hesitated to buy the Columbia shirt because it is polyester instead of nylon, wasn't sure if the color would be close to what I was looking for, and I had read mixed reviews about the sizing. I normally wear a medium but opted to order a large based on the reviews.The outcome? I LOVE LOVE LOVE my Coastal Blue shirt! Polyester has come a long way since I last tried it, and it doesn't seem to bring out body odor like the polyesters of years past. I'm hoping that stands the test of time with this shirt. The color is beautiful, and the cut is very flattering. I've only worn it once so far, on an international flight, and I received numerous compliments. The fit is perfect for me, but I have very long arms, and the sleeves are slightly long on me. If you're on the fence between sizes, that may help with your decision.After returning from my trip, I washed and dried the shirt (in a dryer), and it came out beautiful and wrinkle free. The shirt is a little thinner than my old nylon one, but I live in the tropics, so the weight is perfect for here, and I can layer it when traveling to cooler climates.Besides how beautiful and comfortable this shirt is, I love that it has snaps instead of buttons and no unflattering pockets over the breasts. I probably won't ever wear it fishing, but I found that the fishing pole loop is perfect for reading glasses. What a godsend it was on a long flight with a layover to simply pull my reading glasses out of the loop rather than carrying them uncomfortably in a pant pocket or reach down into my laptop bag each time I needed them. Another feature is that it has velcro tabs which allow you to close the collar for a more professional look. I took pictures both ways so you can see the difference.Did I mention that I love this shirt? I'm hoping to order another one in a different color.

This is my favorite shirt and I have it in no fewer than 5 colors. Great sun protection in the warm weather coming up. Can size up for a casual over shirt and still looks nice or my size and wear to the office.

It’s the perfect shirt for being in the sun all day. It’s cool, lightweight, airy, comfortable and looks nice. It dries very quickly too. I tied the bottom and paired it with a cute floral skort and wore my bathing suit underneath.

The Tamiami is my favorite Columbia shirt because the material is thin and dries rapidly. I also like the snap buttons. I usually wear XL, but I need a 1x with Columbia.

This shirt was one that I have wanted a long time for motorcycle riding in the hot desert sun. It has a UPF of 40 so it protects against the hot, harsh sun. It also has that quick dry fabric which is awesome as I plan to bring this to Ireland where the humidity can be rough on me. I bought the Clear blue color and I love it- its not TOO bright a blue.The construction of the shirt seems well made. The fabric is light in weight. The snaps which close the shirt and the cuffs is made of plastic which surprised me at first but they feel sturdy enough-only time will tell how they hold up. One thing I did notice that was not mentioned in the description- this shirt s that the collar points are actually secured down with Velcro ( although if used a lot the Velcro will rip off very quickly-they could be sewn better) . This is very handy for motorcycle riding no more flapping in the wind! This shirt does NOT have front pockets-yay for us girls! The length seems perfect-falling below the butt line. The shirt is vented in back and held down by a-another great feature for those of us sensitive to hot flashes or have heat sensitivity. The shirt has 2 inside side pockets (the sturdy zippers are well hidden too!) and are made of open mesh material inside. While these are fairly large in size,- 7x9 inches, I think the mesh would not support a whole lot of weight. The inside back of the shirt also has mesh surrounding the length of the vent, from neck to vent and shoulder to shoulder so you get lots of air movement. The outside back has a logo patch that secures the vent down to prevent it from flapping around.I hope and pray this shirt is everything I need for a 7 week trip to Ireland and Scotland, as I needed a vented, sun protected long sleeve top that would wash easily, be wrinkle free (or just a wee bit wrinkled would be ok).and dry quickly in the very likely case that I'll be doing laundry in the room sink!I generally wear a size 2x and this seems to fit exactly right. However, I also plan to wear a long and/or short sleeve tshirts under this as a layer if needed-and it could be a bit snug for me. I like LOTS of moving room. Most people would probably be fine with it as it really is a size 2x.I do NOT like that while the shirt itself is colored, the copious amounts of mesh lining is ALL white-so if I wear as a layer, it is very obvious and I really don't like that. I wish it was the same color as the shirt.Hope this helps someone!

Let me count the ways I LOVE this skin saving shirt! Tailored to reveal my figure, saving my skin from the strong So. CA and Hawaiian sun. This SPF shirt is always cool and breezy to wear and dries in an instant. I love to wear this with or without a top underneath. I wear this to work, amusement parks, all day outings, over my bathing suit, gardening, hiking and while kayaking, I even roll it up and stash it in my purse just incase I am out and about and get caught off guard in the sun. The 2- zip pockets on the side easily store my lip balm, credit card, keys even my iPhone s8! I use the the velcro tab on the front to hang my sunglasses from if I need to slip them off for a minute. I like the fact it does not have big square bulky pockets over the chest, rather a feminine look. The sleeves are just long enough to slightly cover over the back of my hands and I am 5'6" 130 lb. a 36C and the Medium fits beautifully. I have the color White Cap which is a cool ice light blue with slight grey tones and my new Clear Water which is a rich medium toned green blue, think of Mediterranean water blue. No shrinkage that I have noticed washing in cold water and just a few minutes on low in the dry then hang to completely dry. I rarely write reviews but seeing how I just purchased my second shirt shows how much I love this shirt!

I purchased this shirt just before leaving for a month-long trip to Asia, which included 11 flights and a hiking/rafting trip. This shirt was very versatile and I always wore it to the airports, where I often find myself either too cool or too hot. This shirt replaced the sweater I usually need for this type of environment. Sleeves up or down was often enough and if I had to take it off and stuff it into my purse it came out again looking great. It really doesn’t wrinkle! It’s quick dry, which was especially great in the humidity. The other great feature (which is why I got this shirt instead of another similar one) is the zippered pockets. I didn’t use them often but when I needed them, they were priceless. I don’t usually buy expensive name brand clothes but this shirt was worth it. I got an XL and I usually wear a L or XL. The large might have fit (the shirt is quite roomy) but I didn’t have time to chance ordering something too small. Another strap to hold up the sleeves when rolled would have been nice but, overall, that’s a small issue on an otherwise great product.

El color muy vivo y bonito, lo esperaba más deslavado, la talla viene muy holgada (peso 61 Kg, mido 151 CM y pedí la talla CHICA, mi talla normal es mediana). La tela es muy delgada y no soporta tanto el paso o jalones por ramas y arbustos de una salida al bosque. Los bolsillos que tiene a ambos costados a la altura de la cintura sin superpracticos, me encantaron.

Me gustó mucho la tela, es super fresca. La verdad leí las opiniones y vi que decía que de compraras una talla menos que la que eres. Pero en mi caso no fue así, compré M y la verdad si me quedo chica, me la puedo poner, pero el caso de este tipo de blusas es que te quede medio grande para que estes cómoda y entre el aire.Recomiendo sobre todo que si eres talla grande, quedate con esa talla.

Me encantó el modelo trae bolsas en frente , el color está increíble, la calidad de la tela, secado rápido etc columbia. Excelente compra, como siempre Columbia no decepciona. Soy talla M y compré chica pues vienen amplias en este modelo y me quedó súper bien!
