Toto CST412MF.10No.01 Aquia Dual Flush Toilet, 1.6-GPF and 0.9-GPF with 10-Inch Rough-In, Cotton

This is an awesome toilet, it flushes just as well as a 12" Rough does but it comes at a cost but trust me it is worth every penny. Things to remember when buying this toilet is: 1. It is meant for a 10" Rough In 2. When installing this to a tile floor you need to use a tile drill bit. This is not a typical toilet installation, there are two brackets that get screwed to the floor and then the toilet mounts from the sides. It works great just follow the template. 3. When installing the seat, note that this toilet is not open from the bottom to just install any seat, some seats don't fit properly on this bowl as well. In my opinion I would purchase the seat from Toto as it is specified for this model (the seat is not included). If you use the Toto seat you can use the special hardware that is included with this product, if you use a custom seat install the seat before installing the toilet so you can get your hands in from the back holes. 4. Install the wax ring on the mounting plate and then install the mounting plate onto the flange. Then you can install your new toilet onto the mounting plate. It is really easy to install, you don't have to line the heavy toilet with the flange in the floor. Toto designed the install so only one man or one strong woman is needed (the toilet base is very heavy). Well designed, and a nice solid whit finish makes this piece perfect for any sleek looking new bathroom. Please also note, I have installed many toilets over the years, I have learned that if you get the concept of the install you can do it.

I never thought I would love a toilet. But this one is awesome! I wish I would have purchased another one for my upstairs bathroom. All I can say this was an emergency decision based on the menfolk in my house giving me the wrong measurements. I purchased a Kohler toilet similar to this style and it was 12" from the wall, which is pretty standard. Not in my house the standard measurements for my home 10" and I had two 12" toilets.I am renovating a bathroom upstairs so the plumbing can be changed to accommodate the 12" Kohler model. Lucky for me Home Depot took back the still in the box Kohler (after a year) and gave me full credit on a gift card. I ordered this Toto and it arrived within a week by FedX. Free shipping to Alaska. The install according to my contractor was much easier than the Kohler model.I did not hear any sighs or f-bombs. The flush is pretty powerful, I live with a teenage boy and my husband, you can imagine what goes down that toilet. Another thing I like a bout this toilet is its quietness. Yes, it flushes quietly and it fills quickly. I have had no clogging problems at all. This toilet is a dream for the price.

The toilet bowl and the tank combination are well matched almost looks like an unitary piece.Step by step Installation instructions were concise and easy to follow. The shape of the assembled unit are well designed with looks and functionality combined. The design of the toilet base is about the best I have seen. No wiggling to seat the toilet bowl over wax rings and protruding anchor bolts.The water fill mechanism is unique to TOTO and is easily adjustable for discharge volume. The only drawback is the convoluted method of installing the seat. You need very small hands and nimble fingers to attach the hardware through the holes at the back. The assembly needed no readjustment and worked as designed from the first get go.

I was so happy to see that the toilet was shipped the morning I purchased it. However after its fast arrival I opened box to find that the toilet was dirt with sawdust,it obviously had been on a job site and re-boxed up with all the mounting parts missing. This toilet does not mount to floor like standard toilets, it has different parts and has to be drilled into the floor to install in different area than what the wax ring sits on.. ALL MOUNTING PARTS MISSING. Amazon had no way to ship just those parts, so entire Tank, separate box, lid, separate box, and toilet, separate box from my order had to be cancelled and returned. Waste of my time and my patience.

We recieved a well packed toilet . 2 parts the issue was the two pieces didnt match. The tank is made is Mexico and bowl in another country. So keeping the glaze of matching color must be difficult. No doubt they are made well. I tried to contact toto by phone with no success. I don't have time to wait and see if I can find a tank to match.

My plumber said after installing this disaster "ITS NOW OFFICIAL...I OFFICIALLY HATE THIS TOILET" This toilet is a NIGHTMARE to install. This was installed over a porcelain floor with a concrete substrate. Went thru 4 masonry bits drilling the11/32" holes that the cheapo plastic grommets screw down on. ALSO ANOTHER NIGHTMARE - YOU MUST REMOVE THE TOILET TO PUT ON A NEW TOILET SEAT. The bolts cannot be accessed by hand with the toilet installed. You must remove the toliet to get your hand thru the holes to grab the nuts that hold the toilet seat down. A horrible and ridiculous construction flaw. If I had known this is how this is installed it would have been a no-go and would have purchased the Kohler. Lot less $$ and whole lot easier to install. That being said now that its installed it does look very nice and it flushes beautifully. Your plumber better know what the heck he's doing otherwise you're looking at a 3 hour install for a job that should take 30 mins. I gave it 3 stars because of the disaster install. But its a 5 with aesthetics and function
