Go slow.
Great product really sticks but you only get one pass, so go slow. Recommend you use some butcher paper to make patterns to use when you cut your pieces. Strongly recommend the company come up with a semi sticking sheet that can be applied to the hood and traced, then easily removed and easy to cut out patters that can be stuck on the product as a guide for cutting out the necessary pieces. This would make this product very user friendly.

Quites Engine Noise
Used this to reduce engine noise in a Ram Promaster van. Since the engine is so close to the cab in a van, it can get a little noisy. This insulation made a noticeable didderence

waste of money
highly disappointed!put this products under my car hood, I made sure to clean the surface prior installation, Its seems to hold fine but completely disintegrated after 3 weeks only!the glue is junk and waste of money.

More effective than I expected.
I'm surprised how much this has improved the engine noise from my seat Leon 1.6tdi. if you have a 1.6 VAG diesel there is a boom at low revs. This significantly reduces it when put under the bonnet. I can now sit 1 gear higher, 40 in 5th, 30 in 4th as that unpleasant low rev boom is much reduced. Less effective higher up rev range but still a little quieter. Really improves my enjoyment of the car and should boost my MPG as can keep at lower revs. Very easy to install. Cut to size and stick on. I've stuck directly to bonnet then put the bonnet protector back over the top

Effective, easy to apply but keep it away from exhaust contact.
I used this to improve the car under bonnet existing cover. Applied in the sections as described in the advertisement. Then refitted original. Next I applied it to the engine bay bulk head, ( area below windscreen) . This had great effect in cabin sound-proofing. Of the two 20mm sheets supplied I have still half of one left over which may be used in the boot area if needed.
