diffuses the sent very well and works seamless with apple homekit. it is a great size as it lasts a long time. it looks great. with the app it allows it to be on a timer and i can turn it on from outside my house which makes it very easy to use

Looks good and functions well. I wanted a smart diffuser so that I can set it start in the morning and mask the smell of my cats litter tray when I go into the room in the morning. This it does well. I particularly like the fact that it has two levels of misting, along with light effects. I am using Jasmine essential oil which I particularly like. For those so inclined I have also integrated this into my Home Assistant setup and use an automation to trigger the misting. Would be truly great if it could tell you when its out of water, but otherwise fabulous! Edit: I did have a problem fairly early on where the wood laminate on the lid started to separate away. I flagged this to Meross who promptly dispatched a replacement. Super customer service.

Unboxing: The box it arrives in is plain, and the packaging is minimal. This suits me fine, as I dislike excess packaging, just don't expect an iPad unboxing experience! Everything expected was in the box with protective packaging around the power adaptor to stop is damaging the unit itself. Setting up: The instructions were informative and gave sufficient guidance. Some wording was a little odd such as "Do not excess the max mark in the water tank" but near enough that I could figure out what was trying to be said. Despite it saying not to overfill the water tank, there was no max marker on the unit. So very unclear what max actually means! I went with caution and used 150ml, which seems sufficient for a decent amount of time. It would be nice if they added an actual maximum water level marker. The unit itself feels very stable, and fitted together perfectly. I had it up and running within a few minutes. Compared to another similar non-smart unit i've used previously this was pretty much the same in how to set it up. Local Controls: Something that this ticks the box for is local control. One of my requirements is to always have a local non-smart element to anything smart that I get. So should my internet fail or the app cease to function the device is still usable. The LED and mist control are both managed by local buttons, so you always have complete control. Smart Features: Out of the box it is waiting to be configured, so you'll see a WiFi hotspot that it creates. You connect to this hotspot and run the application, it took a couple of attempts to connect to the hotspot, but nothing unusual from other smart devices I've used. I recommend you always configure smart devices, even if you don't want that functionality at that time, as it prevents anyone else from configuring them who shouldn't have access. The application guides you through the configuration process, and it all went quite smoothly asking me for a name and the WiFi details that it should use. It then sat at a page saying it was finalising configuration, and stayed there for quite some time before telling me something had gone wrong. As it looked like the unit had connected to the WiFi (the green LED on the front had stopped flashing) I instead restarted the app and the oil diffuser was there, although it hadn't saved the name I had given it. Also while it showed the oil diffuser there status wasn't correctly reflected within the app. Once I changed the status in the app or on the device the app correctly reflected the status of the diffuser mode and LED lighting effect. However when restarting the app it doesn't update to show the status correctly. Instead you have to set things to the status you want just in case - there is now way of telling its status remotely with any certainty. This sort of bug may get resolved in future versions though. I was able to use the app to turn the diffuser on and off, along with the LED lighting effect. The controls were very responsive with my chosen option happening near instantly. However I was a bit confused by the colour control, which didn't seem to reflect anything I did other than allow me to set it to colour cycle mode which did work. Turning the light effect on and off was simple enough, but the brightness setting seemed to have no effect. I just feel the LED lighting control could be a little clearer in the app. All controls responded rapidly when pressed in the app, and when I made a change locally on the device the status in the app updated within 2-3 seconds. So it appears that the issue is simply that it doesn't update the app when the app first loads. It says that it turns off automatically if it runs out of water, but I don't know if that will generate an alert, I'll update the review with feedback on that once I've tested that out. I know they support Alexa, Google and Apple, but I didn't connect it up to my Echo. I'd really like to integrate this with my home automation - and there is a Meross integration with Home Assistant, so I'll give that a spin. The app itself supports various automations such as scheduled on/off times and automatically turning it off after a certain duration. Sadly Meross don't offer local connectivity / integration, which means that all smart features are totally dependent upon their cloud service. In Summy: This is an attractive oil diffuser with smart features. Handy for things like making sure it turns off in the evening so it doesn't run over night, or starting it just before you get up so the place smells nice. It is perfectly functional without any smart element to it, you just get extra controls that way. Overall a solid product that could use a little bit of a software update to work out the niggles (which could well happen quickly given the nature of these types of devices). This diffuser is great. Very easy to setup. Simply fill up with water and choice of essential oil. The diffuser can either be used with the buttons on the unit or can be app or Alexa controlled. Connecting to the Meross app is really simple. Just adding as a new device, search for your diffuser and then it appears in the app. Controls in the app include turning the unit on and off and setting the fog level. The brightness of the light and also the colour can both be selected through the app. If connected to Alexa, all these settings are available simply by talking to Alexa. A great feture of this over other diffusers is the height of the unit, this means fog comes out higher up, so is much more efficient if using to mist plants for example. Other products are much shorter and the fog just drops onto the surface, whereas this one is much taller providing more range for the fog. I have many other Meross smart plugs and they have all been totally reliable and so easy to use. Highly recommend this.

I purchased this to add to my multiple Meross collection of plugs, lights and smoke alarms as they have been so reliable (especially with Apple Homekit.) I was not disappointed and it works perfectly in my system of automated wireless devices. The unit looks great and just 5 to 10 drops of essential oil of your choice travels around the room pretty quickly. I'd advise good quality oils though as some of the cheap ones are a bit weak. It's very quiet during operation and the light gives a nice glow in low lighting with whatever colour you want. I found it extremely easy to setup and register on the Meross App and Apple Homekit App at the same time. I've now had the unit for 9 months of faultless use, but I did unfortunately just have an issue yesterday where the inner plastic lid came away from the wood effect lid, so I reported it to Meross through their support email address. I've just had a response this morning to say they apologise for the issue and are sending out an immediate replacement, which I think is fantastic service! I dealt with Lydia and she was great with a quick response, understanding of the issue and giving me a speedy solution (thank you Lydia!) I highly recommend this Smart Diffuser for the results you get, the nice aesthetic look, functionality and ease of setup and great support from Meross (only if you need it of course!)”

Great value and works well. My room always smells fresh and great that I can set routines for automation for Alexa. It looks really good, and one fill almost last a week so not constantly refilling. The Meross customer support team are also 5*, so I'll buy other products from them with confidence.

Mist is leaking from the switch area, low quality material used

Connectivity is flawless however the device itself isn’t. The lid melted shut from the first use and then it started to malfunction randomly.

need to be reconfigured every few hours .. it is not a smart device!
