This nipper is a must have for cutting glass tile. I was installing glass mosaic tiles and those long skinny little tiles were the hardest to cut. Once I got the hang of it it's a great tool and very easy to cut.

These nippers were easy to use. After I scored the glass, the nippers took over and finished the job with ease. I used several different thickness of glass, they all cut with ease. They were very comfortable to use, with little fatigue to my hands.

Tile Nipper Set One Day Update. I was cutting the plate wrong. If you place the nippers close to the edge of the plate/tile, it will break apart. It snaps apart actually. In my experience it is still best to use a smaller piece of plate/tile so I broke my plate into smaller pieces up with my hammer. The flat nippers I found are good for shaping the cut pieces. I think I've got this now, and yes, I did wear eye protection as pieces do go flying. ------------------- I've always wanted to make mosaic artwork so with this item on discount I got this nipper set and bought a plate from a store. The circular nippers is the best for breaking up the plate, but I haven't found the sweet spot which allows me to get the shapes I want which is square. I need to apply a decent amount of pressure to nip the plate so this tool is not for folks with weak hands. I found using a buffer between the table and the nippers is helpful. See the brown bag in the image. One thing to note is there is a limitation on how big the pieces are of the tile being cut. Ideally they would be about 1/4 inch wide. Anyways, I'm going to keep the set, but see if there is a scoring tool that will help me out.

These are very sharp. I've used them so many times and they are like brand new. I just love them. I would surely buy them again if I needed to, but I think these will last a very long time.
