Nice thick padding that is easy to put down. If you need to cut it in a smaller pieces it cuts easily. The stickiness is great because it sticks down real well you just roll over it with a small roller to ensure that all your Corners are stuck down. It insulates very well for temperature control and to help keep sound inside where you want it or sound out that you don't want in. They're the perfect size because you can put them how you want them and not have a large piece that you have to cut.

This is a good product. Many people go with KILMAT because of the value to price point. I did as well. When you clean the surface (in my case it was all painted metal) this stuff sticks very well. I do recommend you use a seam roller of some type, I used Lumiteco 3 piece roller set. This will help with adhesion and mostly flatten the overlapped edges. It also helps you see where you have rolled as it leaves little grooves. The difference when we had no sound mats and after was very impressive. We haven't finished our install yet and it is quieter than when we had an interior in the van. There are thicker mats available in other brands, but this will work great for our van build, but this helps keep the weight down. It is quality material, just be careful when you are removing the backing, the edge of the foil face can cut you. I suggest you layout where you are installing the mat and cut to fit. From what I have read, you don't need to cover every inch in the vehicle, just spot install for a big difference. I chose to cover most surfaces to help keep sound out when we are sleeping in the van. We haven't finished putting the van yet, but we have driven it around and been very satisfied with this product.

I used this in my 2rd gen Cummins. I had always heard about the added weight and whatnot (not that it matters in a diesel truck), but it wasn't overly heavy to me. I did a crew cab truck with 1.5 boxes, so the coverage per box is solid. It's easy to work with and adheres very well. I can tell a big difference from the cab drone now vs before, also a lot less rattles and shakes. Very glad I decided to do it.

Purchased these for a 2020 Lexus RX350 due to the hollow sound of the car doors when shutting. They sounded cheap. The mats are super sticky and I applied them when the doors were hot from sitting in the sun. They alubutyl sticks like crazy and the end result was perfect. Now I have solid sounding doors. Good quality product.

The product is good and contrary to some comments I read it was not a mess to install and went on very nicely. That said I placed on a 71 Baracudda and starting from a 71db I was able to drop that down to about 66 with two layers Kilmatt 80mil

Easy to install in a vehicle! Helps keep the heat out as well as keeping it quieter inside my car. Self sticking to the inside of the roof without strong smelling adhesives. The quality of these pieces work very well in my vehicle!

Really good product for the price, I used it on the doors in my 2008 civic SI. It sticks really well and does a good job of deadening vibrations and adding mass. It forms to things and cuts well, but still holds enough of a shape to not seem floppy or cheap. The doors seem a lot more solid and sound good when they close compared to before.

Easy to apply. Measure, cut, peal and stick. Great adhesion, helps with temp and noise. Used for my new side by side to cut down on engine noise. Works perfect.

Ho acquistato il KILMAT da 2mm (pacco da 1,7 mq) per insonorizzare le portiere della mia Renault Clio 2 mentre sostituivo gli altoparlanti. Sapevo che su un'auto datata le lamiere tendono a vibrare molto con i bassi, e questo prodotto ha risolto il problema alla radice. Applicazione e Lavorabilità: Facilità d'uso: I fogli sono maneggevoli e si tagliano facilmente con un taglierino o forbici robuste. Il butile è morbido e non serve scaldarlo con la pistola termica (a meno che non faccia gelido fuori), aderisce subito fortissimo. Copertura: Con 1,7 mq sono riuscito a fare abbondantemente le due portiere anteriori (strato interno ed esterno) e mi è avanzato qualcosa per il portellone del bagagliaio dove ho il subwoofer. Indicatore visivo: La goffratura (la trama a quadratini) sull'alluminio è geniale: quando passi il rullino per farlo aderire, la trama si appiattisce. Così sai esattamente dove hai pressato bene e dove no. Risultati: La differenza è impressionante. Audio: I bassi delle mie nuove casse sono molto più "secchi" e precisi, perché l'energia non si disperde nel far tremare la portiera. Comfort: Quando chiudo la portiera ora si sente un rumore sordo ("Thud") da auto di lusso, invece del vecchio rumore di lamiera vuota ("Sbleng"). Anche in autostrada entra meno rumore dall'esterno. PRO: ✅ Rapporto Qualità/Prezzo: Costa decisamente meno dei marchi blasonati (come Dynamat) ma fa lo stesso identico lavoro. ✅ Nessun odore: Temevo che puzzasse di catrame o chimico, invece è assolutamente inodore, ottimo per l'abitacolo. ✅ Adesione: Una volta attaccato, non si stacca più. CONTRO: ❌ Bordi taglienti: L'alluminio è sottile ma tagliente come un rasoio sui bordi appena tagliati. Usate assolutamente i guanti durante la posa o vi ritroverete le mani piene di taglietti senza accorgervene. ❌ Rullino non incluso: Per applicarlo bene serve un rullino pressore (roller) che va comprato a parte, ma è indispensabile. Verdetto: Se state cambiando le casse all'auto, dovete prendere questo. È l'upgrade che fa la differenza tra un impianto amatoriale e uno che suona bene. Soldi spesi benissimo per il comfort acustico.

I purchased this for insulating both my door panels and the back of the door cards during my audio system install. I'm no expert, but this product was easy to cut, easy to install and had noticeable results. Road noise was reduced vastly, which was the main goal for this project.
