Amazing Green Product
After reading reviews and needing to repair one toilet and update the other I decided to purchase this. It was the best choice I could have made, it does everything it says and it takes no time to install. The cleaning tube does just what it says, after years of using dropins and such products the buildup sits in the bottom of your tank, while making adjustments and about after 4 flushes, the tank was clean of all that buildup. The sound is that of a new toilet, I will purchase another one of these for my other toilet along with the flapper, which in such a rush, I did not realize you could get the whole set. I did purchase the flapper, and it works great as well and instructions make installing a breeze. The original toilet I purchased this for needs a tank to toilet gasket, which I did not realize until I put this one on, I had not used it for years and the water was off, and I did not know was leaking,so I took it off and put it on the other toilet, I can honestly say, with taking out the old flush valve and installing this one it did not take 10 minutes total, the instructions are very clear and concise. If you want to upgrade your toilets without spending a lot of money or buying a whole new toilet, I highly recommend this product. I will also purchase the dual flush converter on the other toilet to get the full effect of this product, and from using this I can say I look forward to installing it, and waiting on my guests responses about my new toilet, which is actually what it feels like and sounds like , it was a fun experience and seeing the finished results I am proud of my purchase and look forward to giving a review about the dual flush converter once I purchase and install it. You can also see how much water you will save by the amount you are using with the adjustments compared to the older flush valves, the sound and the way the water swirls in the bowl you can tell the difference in the power you get with each flush as well. Other than loving this product and looking forward to experiencing the benefits of using it and upgrading my home at the same time is a plus. Thanks again Amazon for making my purchase experience a unique and rewarding one.

It's overall a good fill valve.
It really was pretty easy to install. It works as designed. The HydroClean hose that goes across the bottom of the tank may need to be trimmed depending on the size of your tank. It does work pretty well, though. The idea is that as it sprays the bottom of the tank, it is stirring up the sediments at the bottom of the tank, allowing them to be flushed down as you're flushing the toilet. The sediments usually just settle at the bottom, building up over time, but with this HydroClean system, it doesn't build up over time, it gets flushed down the toilet.I can't speak for the longevity of the flush valve, but it does seem to perform well. Finally, it's not the quietest, if that's important to anyone. It's not really important to me, personally. It it fills quick and it has the HydroClean system, so you may hear the water flow a little more than usual. Once you put the lid on your tank, that should dampen the sound a good bit.

Good instructions and lots of customization
Toilet valve went so I went to the big box store and bought one which was defective so I ordered this one. Good instruction and very easy to tailor to tank size and water height. I like the way it cleans out the bowl, took 4 or 5 flushes once installed to clean out all the gunk. It is a little noisy when it fills up to start but it fills fast. Took off one star because adjusting the elbow on the blue line was a pain and it eventually broke. Still works fine but they should design that part so you snap it in place once you put it in the tank and figure out where the bend should be. Would have given it 4.5 stars if I could but had to deduct a little for that.

I really like the features of this toilet fill valve
I really like the features of this toilet fill valve. The bowl overflow adjustment is a nice water saving feature. The cleaning tube works well to keep water scum from accumulating in the toilet tank and on toilet flappers. The "click" locking mechanism ensures you don't over turn the locking nut when you screw this fill valve into the toilet tank.I have installed several of these fill valves in different toilets in the last five years and never had a problem with them. It seems I have had less issues with this valve than with other brands in the past. The first one of these HC660 fill valves I installed over five years ago still works as a normal fill valve but I did replace it recently because the special cleaning flow tube that is unique to this fill valve seemed to stop allowing water to flow for its special tank cleaning tube. However the valve continued to work to fill the tank just fine and I could have left it as it was working. My current residence has sixty year old steel pipes that tend to allow chunks of rust to break off and clog water valves. In older homes I have seen many fill valves including the popular competing brands run continuously when the valve disc became old, clogged or broke. You can turn off the water at the wall valve and then in the tank partially disassemble these float type fill valves without completely removing them from the tank... in order to clean the disc valve ... Look for the online videos on YouTube or other sites how to do this. (I noticed that this HC660 fill valve comes with a small locking tab you can see that is built into in back and very top of the valve. It may need to be twisted off or snapped off and pull out to be removed before the top assembly can be twisted off to get to the disc valve seal for cleaning. See the HydroClean web site for more information.)Note: One thing I noticed about the new HydroClean valves is they come shipped with the float adjustment turned all the way clockwise (float all the way to the top) which is a position where the float can not engage the disc to shut off. With a screwdriver or by hand simply rotate the float adjustment an adequate number of turns counterclockwise (lowering the float height) so that when the valve disc does settle and seat the float has enough space to float up to close the valve. A simple adjustment of the float height to make sure it is not at maximum height and has plenty of room to float higher remedies this. Note that this is the float height adjustment that I am referring to and NOT the tube height adjustment.
