When I first read about this product, I was a bit skeptical. Now on my third order of mental mushrooms, I am totally sold. on this product. I add a small pad of good organic butter to milk and heat it in the microwave for 39 seconds. Then I pour a small amount of fresh hot coffee in cup and add the mushroom powder--about 3/4 scoop. I take out my small, battery operated frothing wand and blend the mushroom powder into the coffee as I slowly pour it to fill up the cup. It blends nicely into the coffee and imparts an earthy taste that actually compliments the coffee. As the caffeine begins to kick in, the mental mushrooms bring on a sense of clarity that is definable. Organize my workday, sort through some new ideas, make a list and charge into work. Now, I will say that the packaging, in my opinion, is well designed for storage, freshness and shipping, but It is not very functional day-to-day. But the solution is simple with a small round storage container with a tight lid and a small footprint. Onward into the day!

The extract powder mixes well with my morning green tea. Finding a reliable domestic source of these particular mushrooms was important, because I do have concerns about contaminants in products sourced abroad. I've been using it regularly for a few months now, one half-scoop (or full scoop if you got a package with one of the super tiny scoopers in it) a day. I have noticed no adverse effects from the extract in this time period.While my results are confined to me (so N of 1), and there is no real way to placebo control and blind myself for a more rigorous evaluation, I have been doing before and after online cognitive testing with the product for some sort of objective assessment of efficacy. Those tests evaluate cognitive speed, task switching, short-term/working memory and attention. There is a bit of boost to my results on those tests using the product, especially for cognitive speed and attention. The effect is -there-, but not huge--don't expect this to be like the movie "Limitless"! Improvements in working memory and task switching appear more slight. It's important to note--all of these improvements in scores could be due to simply getting more familiar and better at the tests I am using to evaluate the product (this is the problem with a N of 1 study and no way to clone myself as a control group!). However, in my humble and entirely subjective --opinion--, the speed and attention score improvement is greater than what I would expect from simply getting better with the games, and those scores do go down a bit on mornings when I did not put the extract in the tea. A bona fide blinded test with a control group would be more definitive about this though.Even more subjectively, there has been aerobic improvement with the product--I can go a little longer and a little more intense in the gym on days when I have used the extract. But this could very easily be placebo effect, especially since I cannot blind myself to the presence or absence of the extract in the tea. A blinded test, where I don't know if the extract was in the tea or not that day, is the only way to get a good, objective measure of this impression I have about aerobic endurance with it.In short, good, safe product if this kind of mushroom extract is what you are looking for, and based on what little objective measurement of its effects I can do at home, may be providing some benefits. At the very least, this is one of those rare supplements that I think are probably -worth- a more formal, properly designed and powered study of its effectiveness--admittedly based on my own subjective experience with it. The company is also very into support of the products, and has reached out via e-mail to ensure satisfaction, see if there were any questions about it, etc.--very rare, and very welcome from a dietary supplement company.

I have a feeling it is the 8:1 extract ratio that helps this, but take note that Maju boasts that their extract is made from high quality, American grown mushrooms, and it’s the dedication to being superior that will keep me buying this brand.I start my morning with a half scoop of Maju’s along with a scoop of BHB exogenous ketone powder and a tablespoon of MCT oil with Mountain Valley spring water. It’s a powerful boost that keeps me energized, burning fat, and mentally sharp throughout the morning. Honestly, as someone who has taken quite a bit of “magic” mushrooms in varying doses, the effects are very similar to microdosing. I feel as if I have supernatural energy and mental focus.I admit, while I was super impressed after my initial purchase, I had to try a competing blend (Freshcap Thrive 6) just for comparison. Now after going back to Maju’s Mental Mushrooms, I can honestly say, this is a far superior product with noticeable difference and I am fully endorsing this brand and the practice of using adaptogenic mushrooms in general.

Solid mushroom powder mixture. Tastes fine in coffee in the morning. You can tell at first but its mild mixed into a morning coffee and eventually you don't just not taste it, when you run out eventually and drink coffee without it the coffee wont taste as good, it's like something is missing and there is the mental mushroom powder... at least that's my experience with this product. I experienced a overall healthier body and mind type of clean energy after about a week and a half of incorporating this into my morning coffee routine. It was subtle but definitely there and noticeable. The powder is of good quality too as I have experienced I think the best and worst of mushroom extracts and powders and this one is up there. Plus the bonus is you get a few varietys of mushrooms in each serving... cant really go wrong. If you are interested in a quality mushroom powder that doesn't taste like dirt and want to experience the mild but noticeable health benefits they provide, this blend is a great place to start. Recommend to buy it if your interested. Pharmaceutical companies do not want people to know the healing power and preventative health properties found in nature such as these mushrooms provide. Do yourself some good if your on the fence and go for it. It is a solid place to start and it- quality wise, and doesn't break the bank. Cheers!
